Where the story ends
As I looked down the aisle, I realized something. This was our day. The day we had been waiting for. For 1237 days I had been waiting for her. The story is simple, somebody may even call it easy, but also complicated. Girl moves to new town, girl meets mysterious boy, girl realizes that boy is a vampire, Boy and girl falls in love, boy leaves girl, girl jumps off a cliff, boy thinks girl is dead, girl rescues boy from trying to kill himself, boy returns home, boy and girl falls even more in love, girl gets chased by many vampires, boy (and family) kills the vampires and boy and girl gets engaged. Simple. Love is never simple, nor easy. As they sing in the song, love hurts. It hurts you, it hurts you partner and it might even hurt the people around you. But love is the most significant part of your life. I've learnt that.
The day I first saw her, she seemed ordinary, didn't stand out from the crowd. Later that day when I smelled her, I thought my life had fallen apart. Not in my life as a vampire I could have ever imagined a scent so… mouth-watering. Close to revealing my family and myself, I escaped, only to learn that I was weak and that I already loved her. From that day I have tried to protect her. Of course I have failed, she has scars to prove it, but she doesn't blame me. She loves me instead. And she chose me to be hers, always and forever.
From upstairs I heard a whisper. Edward. She was trying to calm herself, I could hear her racing and uneven heartbeats. She started walking down the stairs, one step at the time. All I wished in this moment was to see her. In her long, white dress, all fixed-up. Just to see her face, her eyes looking strait at me. She was finally at the bottom and I could feel her scent surrounding me. My head spun, and if it could, my heart would have sped. As she turned the corner around the staircase, she still looked at the floor, too afraid to see the crowd waiting for her. Then she looked up.
Long black lashes surrounded her warm brown eyes, her face was perfectly pink with her blush. Her eyes followed to aisle up towards me, and it felt like the time was almost stopping. Everything went in slow motion; the gasp from the crowd, the teardrops dripping, the growing smiles, her steps. Her eyes met mine, and I saw her cheeks get slowly more and more red. Then her face bursted into the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I felt my own face form into a responding smile. I wasn't until I felt something warm in my hand, I realized she was beside me. I was completely dazzled. We turned together towards Mr. Weber, and that is where to story ends. Here. Right now. With her beside me.
