The Never Written Ending to Harry Potter

Ron and Hermione walked back through the debris from the headmaster's office back to Gryffindor tower. As they walked hand-in-hand other people passes, surveying the damage. The corridor was dark and silent with the exeption of their footsteps.

They arrived at Gryffindor tower and entered the common room. Together Ron and Hermoine sat on one of the couches that were still sitting arund the crumbled fireplace. It seemed like forever since they had been sitting in the same place in much happier times. Ron turned and saw a tear run down the side of Hermione's face. "Why are you crying?" he asked.

She replied, "It's over, there's nothing left to do"

"What do you mean?" Ron said.

Just then Ginny Wesley walked into the common room. She looked at the two of them and asked, "Have you two seen Harry?"

"I think he said something about going to his dorm," replied Hermione.

"Thanks," Ginny said looking sadly towards the stairs.

Once she was gone Hermione answered Ron's question, "I mean V-voledmort's gone and the war is over and- ." Then she felt him squeeze her hand a bit harder. She looked at him and smiled weakly. " I guess it's not really something to cry about."

"Not really," Ron said smiling back.

"Sorry," She said.

"Don't be sorry," He replied, "you don't need to be." With that they both smiled. And Hermione turned to look at the staircases leading to their old dorms.

"I'm tired. I think I'll go upstairs," Hermione said kind of abruptly. With that she left. Ron sat there watching her leave.

After a few minutes he slowly got up and followed her up the stairs.

The End...
