Disclaimer: The characters from Special Victims Unit are not mine. I'm just twisting some emotions within them.
Author's Note: My second SVU Poetry Fic, a companion to "Unintentional", which I recommend you read first. I hope you like it.
Stares.
He just stares.
His eyes follow her every move.
Mischevious, hungry eyes, that won't let her out of their sights.
He awaits her arrival each day.
He dreads her departure each night.
Every night he follows her home.
All he wants is to follow her inside.
She would never allow it.
She has an unbreakable wall that he can not force down.
All he feels is sadness that she will not let him in.
All he wants is a chance to love her.
They fight sometimes, in the squad room, or the Captain's office.
He thinks that she is beautiful when she is angry.
She never thinks twice to be mad at him when he deserves it.
It breaks his heart when it happens.
She comes to him later, and he apologizes.
She smiles, and he melts.
No other woman had ever made him feel this way.
It was her, and only her.
Sometimes, he dreams, and there she is.
She waits for him to come home at night.
He gets home, and she gives him a passionate kiss.
She says "I love you" as they go deeper, but they never get to the bedroom.
The dreams always ended, and he was left in wonder.
Thinking about what it would be like to be with her.
All he wants is to show her how much he loves her.
All he wants is to be allowed his one, small chance.
Author's Note: So, who are they? This one is a little shorter, and a lot more vague than the last, but, that was the point. I hope that you read "Unintentional" first, because that set up this whole poem. I look forward to (kind/constructive) reviews!
