"Most people have a harder time letting themselves love
than finding someone to love them."
~ Bill Russell
Part 1.
He loves that her hair is curly.
He loves that her eyes compliment her scarf today.
He loves that she reaches into her pocket for her totem,
And then lets out a sigh when it
Tips over.
He loves that she is bored of this world,
And that she wants so much more.
He loves that she reminds him of himself when he first started
dreaming.
And yet,
He's afraid that she will get hurt.
That she'll turn
and run and never come back.
Because the world of dreams is one of fear.
And he doesn't want to see her cry.
Part 2.
She loves his hair.
It's so straight, so sleek, so perfect.
She loves that he's always in suits,
No matter how hot it is
outside.
She loves that there is no question he doesn't answer.
And that there's somehow still a secret about him.
She loves that he reminds her of everything that she wants to be.
And yet,
She wonders why he's so quiet.
Why he wakes up in a cold sweat every time he falls asleep at his desk,
and why he won't tell her why.
She's afraid she'll lose him one day,
and he won't be there
When she needs him.
Part 3.
Arthur knows he loves Ariadne
and Ariadne knows she loves Arthur.
But there's too much between them.
And that's why they don't do anything about their love.
And they may have to live like this forever,
Wondering of what could have been
But didn't.
It can't be helped.
They're too afraid.
A/N:
I write in this style sometimes.
I call it my poetry style.
I rather do like this.
