Bemused, Jason watched Nico high-five Annabeth and walk back to grass, where Will Solace stood, waiting. He laughed as Percy stared after him as if he'd just seen a ghost, before burying himself in his girlfriend's arms. Annabeth patted him awkwardly on the back.

He had a feeling he knew what that had been about- so naturally, he excused himself to Chiron and walked over.

"Bro, wha-"

And then he was cut off by Percy's muffled groan into Annabeth's camp shirt. Jason frowned. What the hell? Had he read the situation wrong?

"Don't mind him, Jason," the daughter of Athena shot him a wide-eyes smile as she stared down at her boyfriend, "he just found out about Nico."

"About..." he trailed off.

So he guessed right. But then why was Percy reacting like this- as if he just heard the news his dog died.

"Yea-"

Percy's head suddenly shot up like a dolphin out of the sea. "Wait! YOU KNEW?!"

Jason blinked, startled. "Yeah, I mean, Croatia. Some stupid encounter with Cupid."

"Poseidon," Percy re-buried his head in Annabeth's shoulder like an ostrich, "I can't believe it."

His girlfriend resumed the awkward patting.

The son of Zeus was suddenly very, very annoyed as his behavior. "Jeez, dude. It's not that big of a thing."

"It is Jason, IT IS!" Percy let out a muted wail.

Suddenly, Jason didn't care if Percy was his friend. Nico was like his little brother (technically cousin), and he'd be damned by the Fates if he let anyone say that. Nico had had enough shit already.

He rounded on the person closest to Percy. "Annabeth, tell your boyfriend to stop being such a fucking asshole." He never swore, but he needed to get his point across. What Percy was doing was a no-no.

Annabeth laughed, "Jason, let him be. He's just overreacting."

"Overreacting or not, he's being a fucking homophobe" he bit back.

The daughter of Athena's eyes grew wide. "Jaso-"

But Jason steam-trained on, turning to his friend. "I swear, Percy, unless you cut this shit out now, Gods help me, I will kick your ass to Tartarus."

"Jas-"

"And this time, Annabeth won't be there to save you."

"Jaso-"

"How hard do you think it's been for Nico, eh? Don't you da-"

"JASON!' she suddenly yelled, shaking Percy off her shoulder, but he clung back on and buried back his face, oblivious of the ongoing argument.

"WHAT, ANNABETH!"

Annabeth sighed so calmly about the situation his eyes practically bulged out of their sockets. "Athena's sake, Grace. Percy doesn't care less if Nico's gay! His only problem i-"

And then Percy lifted his head for the second time and yelled something so loudly all the nearby campers turned around. " THAT I'M NOT HIS TYPE! I AM THE SON OF POSEIDON. I'M ALWAYS SOMEONE'S TYPE!"

"..."

"There you have it, Grace."

"...Oh."
