Yoshiki felt cold.
It wasn't because of the fact that the rain was pouring down outside, beating against the windows like he did the drums. No. It was the endless rain that fell in his soul, breaking him more inside. he sat, his golden eyes studying his reflection in the vanity mirror as he tried to decide if he really wanted to do it. He picked up his brush, a gift fro his mother when he mentioned he was growing out his hair. His mother, who was now gone. His hand trembled slightly as he brushed the curly locks, listening to the soft sound it made.
He had never felt so alone.
He would do it, Yoshiki decided. He needed a change. Something drastic. He lifted the scissors and studied them a moment, feeling a slight hesitation. What would the others think? He bit his lip then gazed up to meet his eyes in the mirror. He would do it. The others could just get over it. So without thinking any further on it he took a grip on some of his hair and cut it, watching the golden curls fall to the carpet. He stopped to look at it, then looked away and continued to cut and snip away the luscious curls he had always treasured and been complimented on. When he was done he shakily put the scissors down and turned his head to each side, studying his work. Pretty good for an amateur.
His eyes watered and he took a deep breath, finally giving in to the need to be comforted. He grabbed his phone and dialed the one he trusted more than anyone. He stood and walked over to his bed, falling to it and not even trying to stop the tears now.
"Hello? Yoshi?" Hides voice sounded through the phone and Yoshiki was silent a few moments before he could answer.
"Please...could you...come over? I...need you here." He whispered, trying not to make it obvious that he had been crying.
"...Are you crying?" Hide asked, concern laced in his voice. That's why Hide was his closest friend. Even though he hid it, he knew he was crying. Hide knew him so well.
"Just…a bit." He admitted.
"Ok I'm coming right over." Hide hung up and Yoshiki just let the phone slide from his hands and hit the floor. After a few deep breaths he managed to compose himself and sat up. He made sure his robe was securely tied and he went to the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of red wine. He then sank to the couch to wait calmly for Hide and finished the wine. Yoshiki turned his head when the door bell chimed and he gracefully got up and walked to the door, chewing on his lower lip as he opened it. "Sorry to make you come here when its raining." He said, raising his eyes to meet Hides.
"It really isn't a problem." Hide lifted a hand and frowned, gently taking a strand of Yoshikis hair. "You cut it…so short. This really did hit you hard." Yoshiki's eyes teared up again and Hides arms wrapped around him. He cried into the pink haired males chest, tears falling hard as he clutched at his shirt.
"I feel…so lost..and a-alone!" He said, his voice muffled from Hides shirt.
"I know…but you aren't alone. Im here for you and always will be. And so is Toshi and the others." Hide said, kissing his friends head.
Yoshiki nodded, but his body trembled. "I…just lay down with me? For a little bit?" he asked weakly. Hide nodded and lifted the broken male in his arms, carrying him to bed. He then lay next to him and pulled him close, holding him until he at last fell asleep.
