Bridget glanced up from her paperwork after the long day to see Horatio standing over her.

"How is it going Bridget? Horatio asked with his childish grin.

Horatio and Bridget have become romantically involved over the past month but have worked hard to keep it under wraps. The only other team member that knew about their first date is Natalia.

"Same as this morning in the locker room, you?" Bridget said with half a smile, truthfully she wasn't feeling like herself but she attributed it to exhaustion due to her long hours this past week.

"Bridget you look tired, are you okay?" Horatio noticed how pale and tired she looked even through her makeup. Normally her big blue eyes sparkled and her long straight black hair was styled, but today her eyes were dull and it looked like she woke up and just threw her hair into a ponytail.

"Horatio, I told you this morning that I was fine" Truth was she felt like she was going to vomit at any second and she knew for a fact she had a fever.

"Alright, I am heading out now don't stay too late." Horatio grinned again and walked out of the lab.

Bridget looked at her watch, realizing just how late it was.

"11pm?! No wonder why I am so tired!" she exclaimed.

Bridget stood up from the table when suddenly the room was spinning and she fell to the floor like a sac of potatoes.

"BRIDGET?" She opened her eyes for a moment, the lights hurt so she shut them again.

"Bridget can you hear me?" The words echoed and were incredibly loud.

She opened her eyes to see a blurry redheaded man kneeling over her.

"Hora-" Bridget tried to talk but Horatio was quick to interrupt

"I forgot my jacket and when I walked in you were on the floor, what happened?" H was incredibly worried and frazzled

Bridget sat up and leaned against the table in the room, everything was still spinning so she took it slow.

"I went to get up to put this case file away… and the room started to spin and…" before Bridget could finish her sentence she vomited onto the floor next to her.

"Dammit" Bridget started to feel the tears well up in her eyes she was so embarrassed.

"H I am so sorry, let me clean this up" Bridget went to stand up when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"No, you sit don't move." Horatio was stern with her now realizing she was just as stubborn as he was.

Bridget leaned against the table trying to concentrate on her breathing. Her eyes were glued shut, she was nauseous and the room was still spinning. Horatio had finished cleaning the floor next to her when he heard in almost a whisper,

"Horatio" Bridget said weakly

"Yes Bridget? Are you okay?" Horatio could see she was unwell, visibly shaking from a chill he figured she had.

"I… uhm, I'm freezing" she said in almost a whisper.

Horatio took his jacket and laid it on her, he also placed his hand on her forehead to see if she was warm.

"Bridget, sweetheart you are burning up." Horatio said slightly panicked, he knew he needed help.
