On a boat heading to Ba Sing Se held some of the most important officials of the fire nations west side. A minority on the boat was lower class citizens who were scared off by the incoming advance of Red Rebels amongst the town.

On ji sat on the edge of the boat, feet dangling above the water, looking off to sea. One of the crew member sat besides her, he looked to be just about the age of 40 and had a medium gray length beard.

"Where are your parents little girl?" the man questioned On ji.

On ji turned her head away, half in disgust and half in shame.

"If you don't want to tell me that's fine, I'll just lea-" the man started to stand up, but stopped when he saw the girl crying.

On ji looked up at him, tears in her eyes "My parents are traitors. They joined the Red Rebels in hopes they would be come higher officials again."

The man sat himself beside On ji again and allowed her to lay her head against him as she cried.

The boat docked a few hours later at the shoreline right before Ba Sing Se. On Ji looked around the area, everything was nothing but dirt and a couple far away trees. Farther in the distance sat a large wall signifying that was city was indeed impenetrable.

She sighed and began to walk towards the carts that we're moving the upper class families towards the wall.

On ji stared down the roads of Ba Sing Se, she had just been released by the tour guide and was exploring the streets and stores around her. She came across a little bread store not to far from the gates of Ba Sing Se. When she walked past the beaded curtains and looked inside she discovered the man she has seen on the boat and who was nice enough to comfort her through her hard time. After a couple words back and forth to each other, he insisted she stayed in the upstairs bedroom that belonged to his daughter and she agreed.

That night On ji decided to take a stroll out into Ba Sing Se, it was like walking into her hometown except for the face the flags we're green and had earth kingdom symbols over them. She turned down a street and saw a black shadow run past her nearly knocking her off balance. She jumped into fighting stance looking up and down the road. Lanterns were beginning to turn off and people were returning back to their homes. She hastily walked back to the place she was staying when suddenly a rock slammed her in the back of the head. She looked up and was barely able to see anything, her vision becoming more faded and fuzzy by the second. She pushed herself off the ground and noticed a small pool of blood forming on the ground under her. A quick shadow flashed past her peripheral vision, she turned her head quickly to see two men dressed in long green robes and a weird looking hats standing in an alley way casual watching.

"Who- who are you?" On ji stuttered trying to regain her footing.

"We are the Dai Li and we need you to join us to help bring peace and order," one of the men in the alley way spoke.

On ji wobbled a little upon standing and look up at the men "I've heard about you, your not here for peace and order!"

The moment she finished her sentence a whip sound was heard and two mouns of earth from both direction came hurling at her head.

On ji snapped out her fire whip and waved it around snapping the two rocks back towards their original senders. The two men in front of her in the alley way shot rocks at her wrist, throwing her into the wall behind her. Blood shot out of her mouth as she cringed at the pain, both her arms being pinned to the wall behind her. She looked up slowly noticing how everything was getting darker, her feet weren't touching the ground. An aggressive hand grabbed her pony tail lifting her head up to face the person with the forceful hand.

"You gave us a lot of trouble little girl, we'll fix that." as the man finished his words, he punched her in the stomach slowly causing her to go completely unconscious.
