This was written for me by PeaceLoveParvati. Thankyou so much for this!
I watched her talking to George, frustrated that he could talk so much and every time I tried I said something dumb. She was laughing, and it was too much for me. Why couldn't I make her laugh? Oh yeah, because I fancied her.
I knew it was my last year at Hogwarts, because Umbridge was insufferable and George and I would be leaving soon. I knew I shouldn't fall for anyone, because we couldn't take anyone with us when we left. But something about her made me want to ignore what I knew and stay for her. I'd known her since my first time on the Hogwarts Express. She barged into my compartment and sat down right on my lap. She's been my best friend ever since. And now I could barely even talk to her.
And the worst part was that she seemed to know what she was doing to me! She'd throw me these looks, and then she'd start flirting with me, and when I couldn't respond intelligently anymore, she'd smile and walk away! I couldn't figure out what to do!
It ended up being George's idea. The day we left, I walked into the Girl's dorm and left a letter on her pillow, with the diagon alley address that she'd need to contact me. And then we were gone. I wasn't sure she'd respond until she showed up at the store two days later.
"I love you too, you git," she said right before she kissed me.
