PUCKCEDES ALERT!
Of Tissues and Women
"Do you need me to run to the store and grab some tissues or something?" I asked her, cringing at the sudden pain in my arm from her claw like nails clutching on to me.
"No, I'm ok. I can handle this." She said, her sobs wracking her body as she gripped my arm harder.
I glanced at the TV, narrowing my eyes at the scene playing across the screen. A man, an older gentleman of around 60 or so, sat reading to a woman of a similar age, her hair a white blonde and her lips stained a dark red. This is the first time i've seen this movie and I hate it, but I promised to watch it because my girlfriend swears it's the most romantic movie ever made. The only romantic thing about this whole situation is that i'm allowing her to practically rip my arm off as she cries. That's what I call a sacrifice for love. A slap pulls me from my thoughts.
"Why can't you be more like Noah?" she screams. "He spends everyday telling her about how they fell in love just so she might remember him for a few minutes and you can't even take out the garbage when i ask you to!" she shrieked, turning back and facing the television once more.
I rolled my eyes and continued watching, silently begging for this movie to be over soon. My prayers are answered nearly 20 minutes later, credits rolling across the screen as my girlfriend dries her eyes for the fifth time that night.
"Well? Wasn't that the best movie ever?" She asks, her eyes shining and hopeful as she looks at me.
No. That was just about the stupidest thing i've ever had to sit through. But i wasn't going to tell her that.
"Yeah. I Loved it." I said, grinning as she beamed with excitement.
"Great! Then you'll love A Walk To Remember!" She cried, running over to the DVD player and switching the discs.
I groaned and sat back in my seat. I don't think I can survive another one of her movies. She runs back over to me and squeals and the title flashes on the screen, pushing herself close and snuggling into my arm. Oh yeah, I am the best boyfriend ever.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT! Please review. No haters allowed ;)
