It sure has been a while. So here's another story written by yours truly. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and watch this amazing thriller. Ah, just kidding. You don't have to have any popcorn.
It is silent. At least, that's what I wish I could say and hear. Instead, I hear the slow, steady beat of the drums. I hear the clanging of metal on metal; a hiss from an arrow, soaring through the air. I can hear the pounding of footsteps on the ground. But worst of all, I hear the screams of an army, dying in the valley below. I hear their battle cry unleashed as they charge the Kaldar and the Draconians. Most of their cries are stopped short, either by an arrow or a sword. I see them fall, one by one. I can only watch in horror as the Draconians and the Kaldar plunge their wicked blades into the hearts of the many brave Cloudwalkers. Blood stains the ground as they fall. Their blood drips from the ends of swords, falling to the ground. I hear another cry as the second surge of soldiers charges. They, like the others, fall to the ground. The Kaldar break away and head for the darker area of the valley, where my spies were hidden. A screech echoes across the valley as the Kaldar destroy the spies. I close my eyes. There is no hope left, I tell myself. And I believe it. I truly do. I can hear the yells of the medics as they race out, trying to save our fallen soldiers. I turn away from the scene, a tear rolling down my pale cheek. I weep for the lives claimed, I weep for the armies that died in vain, and I weep for the end of the world. Finally, I turn to my small squad of soldiers. I nod. They all bow their heads. It is time. I turn, raising my sword, and unfurling my wings. Then I charge into the valley, uttering a hoarse battle cry, soon to be my last.
Ha, that was actually pretty good. I'm not used to writing battle stuff, so…….you can see that, I'm sure. Review! And if you want to know what the creatures are, ask Senjinn the author.
