"What are you doing here?" he asks her, horrified and amazed and bewildered and sadly relieved to see her here of all possible places. It seems like it's been millenniums since he's last spoken to her, seen her, been blessed with her presence. In reality, it's only been a few years. But time works differently in Heaven. The past three years have seemed to have lasted an eternity.

She only smiles.

"Daisy, I don't understand. You can't be here."

"We came to follow you, Lance."

This causes him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion. We? It's only then does he notice that there's someone else there with them, hiding behind the woman of his distant dreams. A little someone. It takes him only a second to realize the significance of this.

"No..."

"Lance, it's okay."

"W-what happened...? What happened?"

She steps forward. The little person follows, holding onto her dress like it's the only safe thing there. She wraps her arms around his thin frame and suddenly he's crying.

"No, no, no. This is not right. This cannot be real."

She continues to hold him.

"This cannot be happening. I don't understand. This just isn't-"

"We just missed you too much. We had to be with you. Seeley had to be with his father."

This causes an ugly sob to escape his lungs. He hates himself for being happy that they're here, because this is not where they belong, not yet. Especially not the son he's never known. He glances down and finds his hands entangled in the fabric of Daisy's dress, just as his son's hands are. The little boy is looking at him with big eyes and a look of hesitancy.

"You left us, Lancelot. We had to come find you eventually."

Lance wants to reply but he doesn't know how. They hold each other for another moment before he pulls out of her embrace to look at her once more. For the first time in forever he finds his heart racing at a dangerous speed.

"Mommy, where are we?"

It's the first time Lance hears his son's voice in person. He glances down at the child just as Daisy takes him by the hand. Then she takes Seeley by the hand too, and smiles. Even in her death she's always smiling.

"We're here, baby. With daddy. We're home."
