Did Not!

"I did not!"

"Did too!"

"Didn't."

Two girls stood across from each other glaring at one another; volleying back and forth did nots and did toos. It had been going on for sometime and it was unclear as to whether or not either girl knew what they were arguing about anymore.

Things suddenly came to fruition when the older girl sprang at the other, knocking both to the floor. The two girls rolled across the floor until a voice bellowed out, "Stop!"

Pausing mid-punch both girls looked up and cringed at the angry look marring their father's face. Rolling off each other both girls looked down at the carpet in embarrassment.

"You want to tell me what's going on here?" Jason asked looking at his two eldest daughters and the disaster that was the living room.

Both girls flushed pink, neither looking up from the carpet. "She started…" Both spoke at the same time, ending in a glaring contest.

Jason pinched the bridge of his nose, "I don't care who started. I'm finishing it. Now tell me why you two were trying to kill each other."

Nikki looked over at Robyn and then back to her father, "We weren't trying to kill each other."

Robyn nodded, "Yeah, it was just a minor disagreement."

Jason looked once again to the room, "If this is a minor disagreement I'd hate to see the damage you do when it's serious."

The girls took in the state of the room and cringed. They'd managed to break a lamp and a vase, knocking over multiple other things. "Sorry," both said together.

"We'll clean it up," Robyn said, starting to move out of the room, hoping to avoid other questions and get the vacuum.

Luck wasn't on her side. "Hold it right there. No one's going anyway till someone tells me what caused this in the first place."

Both girls flushed pink again; they seemed to be doing that a lot today, "Wedontremeber."

Sighing, Jason pinched the bridge of his nose, "Would you please repeat that again and in English this time please."

Nikki cleared her throat, "We don't remember."

Jason opened his mouth to say something but closed it again. There weren't really words. "Clean this up and try to control yourselves next time."

Nikki and Robyn gave him a beaming smile, "Yes dad."

Jason shook his head and left the room.

A couple of hours later Billy came home carrying a sleeping Chrissie in his arms. Walking into the living room after putting her to bed Billy raised an eyebrow as he took in the missing items.

"What happened in here?"

Jason looked up from the T.V, putting the sound on mute, "I didn't hear you come in. The girls happened in here. Nikki and Robyn got into some sort of argument that turned into a brawl by the time I got in here."

Billy sat down beside Jason, "About what?"

Jason snorted, "That's the best part. When I asked they said they didn't remember. They were beating the crap out of each other but they didn't know what they were fighting about."

"Maybe they just didn't want to tell you Jase. They were probably embarrassed about it."

Jason shrugged, "I don't know. They seem to be fighting an awful thought lately."

"They are teenaged girls Jase. I'll go see if they'll talk to me."

Jason nodded, "They're in their rooms."

Billy was head out of the room when Jason called him back, "Oh and Bill, bring you might want to bring a shield. Never know when they might start another brawl."

"I'll keep that in mind."
