Hey guys! This is my first fanfic. I've wanted to write one for ages but just haven't gotten round to it. I saw Thor 2 a while ago and am a HUGE Loki fan. Seriously, that guy kills me every time I watch him. Hope you enjoy!
I was falling.
Fast and then faster still yet ground would not come. I had been falling for a long time, it was almost getting boring. I could feel my wings around me, pushed up by the rushing wind and forced to embrace me. My arms were above me and I couldn't push them down.
'You're terrible at landings.' Fletcher used to tell me. I smiled bitterly.
'You can't land properly when you're barely conscious."
I was losing consciousness now.
I tried to force my eyes open and tried to twist around so I might reassert myself and actually land safely for once. Instead of crashing like I usually did but keeping the wings took energy especially on long flights. I got to my destination every time but by then I hadn't enough energy for the landing. Bit of a shame when you're thousands of feet above ground.
Come to think of it, I didn't even know where I was going. I don't remember planning a trip or actually taking off. Which meant . . .
Oh that's bad. Oh God that's really, really bad.
And why the hell was I still falling?
Usually I would have crashed by now. I forced my eyes open.
Up above me were stars. I looked to my sides. There were stars there too.
Shit. I'm falling through space.
For a moment, I was pleased. Falling through space; haven't done that before. It was something new and new things didn't come around often. But then again, falling through space. Probably not the safest thing nor the most appropriate thing either. Wouldn't gravity caught me by now? Or the lack of it. I should be floating not falling. I definitely wasn't anywhere near home. The Space at home didn't have gravity, I was somewhere where it did or maybe it was some magicky thing the wings did? Possibly. I'd never flown through space before. Maybe it was a safety measure?
It also explained why I hadn't fallen yet though it made me wonder when I would.
Dizziness was blacking out my vision. My body was trying its absolute hardest to get me to sleep. I closed my eyes. Ultra sleepiness equalled landing time.
I felt my stomach do a flip.
Dear fliers, prepare for yet another successful crash landing.
So guys, what'd ya think? This is only the start, the next chapter's coming soon.
