I watched with eager eyes as the deer ate away at the grass, unaware of the hunters. I sniffed the air, and caught the scent of discomfort, they were getting nervous. I leapt out from behind the bushes that concealed me, closing the distance between the stag and myself. Even as it turned I was on it, monstrously strong jaws clamped around its neck. The stag still fought to escape, even as its life was slowly crushed out of it, it lashed out with its hoofs and attempted to thrash its head. A second hunter raced in, gripping onto one of the stags legs and breaking it with a tug. A third hunter arrived ripping off one of the stags forelimbs in a spray of blood. Thrashing my head side to side the stag's neck was broken and ripped apart. A fourth final hunter appeared and tore into the still twitching body of the stag. The blood dripped down my chin as I ate the head of the stag, crushing bones. The torn body of the stag began disappearing as the hunters slacked their thirst for blood. Together we looked up at the moon and howled in triumph and bloody satisfaction. The Hunters gorged themselves on the hot corpse of the stag. My vision started to cloud and all I could smell was blood on the air. Blood and fear. More prey. I sniffed the air. I smelt the stench of fear and I growled. The others raised their heads and sniffed the air as well. Growling we sprinted off to the prey, claws gouging deep furrows in the ground, eyes seeing nothing but blood and the pounding heartbeats of the terrified prey. I closed on one of those beats, jaws clamping tight. I raised the prey high in the air and shook it, internal organs ripping and bones breaking. I threw away the prey and two of the Hunters grabbed it in mid air, ripping it in half with ease. Something thudded into my shoulder and I roared, lashing out with my claws at anything in reach, claws hitting wood and warm fresh flesh. Enraged I threw my self forward biting at everything in reach, filling my mouth with splinters and chunks of flesh. A flash of cold lashed against my back and I felt my blood seeping out of the wound. I turned to strike at the prey, but it had passed. Another thing slammed into my chest embedding itself deep in the meat of my chest. I saw the panicked heartbeat in the cloud of blood, flashing bright white. Lunging forward I tore the prey apart with my claws, flesh and blood filling my mouth. Off in the distance I saw another heart beat clumsily running off through the woods. The beast couldn't refuse the chase and so I complied, leaving the rest of the hunters to have the other prey. The prey had a head start, but I swiftly closed the distance, and in its panic it turned at my approach, I leapt on to the prey and bit open the chest of the prey, my own blood pounding in my ears, blocking out the short lived screams of terror and pain from the prey as I ate its heart and buried my muzzle in its open chest cavity. I blacked out as the beast was given full reign, devouring the prey in moments.
