This story is in the DC Universe. I created this character to be the positive male version of Poison Ivy to try and see if I could make her a force for good.

The story of Poison Oak began as any villain would suspect. A scientist, working on plants in the Congo, learns that his plan is to be taken down, and he to be returned to the Americas. But Arthur Ramsay had other plans.

When they came to get him, he struggled at first., but he eventually broke free and ran into the jungle with a vial of serum dubbed PLNT1. It was a miracle growth hormone for plants, and would hopefully make them stronger than their predecessors who could only relieve the pain of illnesses. Arthur hoped that with the plant growth hormone he would be able to make the plant's natural medicines 10 times stronger, thus getting rid of the illness or disease altogether. But it was all for naught. Wayne Enterprises was shutting him down, just like every other scientist in the world. One scientist he would not vouch for keeping, as the man was mad. The other scientist though had had nothing to do with his crazy experiments.

All of these thoughts ran through Arthurs head while he dashed through the greenery of the African Congo. He heard voices behind him as he ran. He knew if he could reach the nearby river he would be safe, but he was unsure of what animals may lurk beneath the surface.

His body stopped is rushing movements as he neared the river. As one may suspect it was filled with crocodiles and other deadly creatures. Arthur's eyes darted back and forth. "Maybe I could swing across," he thought to himself. He grabbed a vine and yanked on it. It seemed sturdy enough. He turned around and felt a bright light hit him in the eyes. He put his hand over his glasses. "Mr. Ramsay! Stop! You are to return to Gotham City immediately! Any struggle will sentence you immediately to Arkham Asylum with no hope of bail!"

Arthur's face twisted into a sneer. "All you people do is take and pillage what isn't yours. I work for you , yes, but that does not mean that you control my life!" He turned and with that he swung across on the vine. Halfway across he gave a whoop of joy… and that was when his plan went bad. The vine snapped. Arthur grabbed the vial. "No! This must survive!" But in his desperation, he crushed the small glass vial, and cut himself open. He struggled in the water. Some unseen force was dragging him under. The vine itself wrapped around him. He screamed. But it was to no avail. On that day, Arthur Ramsay was declared dead.

On that day also, Poison Oak was born.
