Alice had lots of blood. Why couldn't she give it away to someone she loved?
In her Hogwarts years, she had met Bellatrix almost weekly in the dark corridor on the fifth floor no-one seemed to visit. She would made a long, deep cut and let the blood seep out – Bellatrix had watched it tenderly, and had seemed to be fascinated by the red liquid.
As time went on, Bellatrix had become more fascinated – she would kiss it, or lick a small portion to see how it tasted. She would smear a portion onto her lips and wear it as lipstick for the rest of the day.
If Bellatrix wanted blood, Alice would give her blood – because she loved those small kisses she would get for her effort, them being foreign and dangerous, made all the more so by Alice being Gryffindor and Bella being in Slytherin, and because they were both girls, and because of the spilt blood.
Bellatrix loved Alice's blood, and Alice willingly gave it. Why not? She had lots of blood.
