The Rise of Devil May Cry

Rise of the Guardians/Devil May Cry Crossover

They don't belong to me. Also, this is a bit of an Au and post movie.

Prologue

Jack Frost was framed by Pitch Black, and his fellow Guardians fell for it. Because of this, said winter spirit was kicked out. Although he was alone again and hunted by the same man who framed him, he managed to turn the tables against the dastardly opponent at the last second. Pitch Black was quick to bring out a nasty looking dagger, Jack was faster. Using every last bit of power that he had left, he sealed Pitch Black. Before collapsing he muttered the words, "You will remain sealed until your once noble heart completely returns;" When his now comatose body hit the floor his staff broke.

Jack remained in slumber in his weakened state, as he was slowly fading away. One particular day, Vergil Sparda who mistook the winter spirit for his identical twin Dante, fell onto his knees and wept. 'What good did seeking power do Dante, when I couldn't even protect you? Family is more important and now it is too late…" The real Dante stumbled on the scene by chance while he was looking for a place to set up a shop. "If this is about the death of our parents, it wasn't your fault." "Wait… if you're here, then who is that boy?! He looks a lot like you" "Well, there are rumors circulating around about an immortal 14 year old named Jack Frost. Apparently they are true."

After further conversing, the twins finally agreed on a course of action. Vergil used one of his abilities to figure out what happened. "The kid was framed for something, and his friends apparently kicked him out of their group. He sealed the man responsible at the cost of his powers and he is gradually dying." "Is there a way to pull him out?" "Yes, but we will have to act fast." "So get started then!"

Vergil chanted the ritual in the full moon. A moon beam seemingly shone on all three of them, as if to give them his blessing. The change of his appearance was subtle, but the difference on the inside was not. The now once again living winter child now shares the same origins that the twins have.
