"Oh come on!" Penelope cried angrily.
A crackling noise came from the headset still atached to her ear. She adjusted the settings so she couldn't here Sebastian's feeble attempts to make it work. She glanced back at the television and reread the instructions it gave her very carefully.
"NAT settings...router...OK." she mumbled to no one in particular. She went back to her computer and fiddled around with the router for about ten minutes before turning the headset back up and speaking into it. "Can ya hear me now?" she asked the mic.
"Yeah," came Sebastian's reply, "did you figure out how to fix it?"
"Oh no, it's still broken." she said sarcastically.
"Well then you should fix it." he said in the same tone.
Penelope smirked and reset her Xbox. Once she had logged back onto Xbob Live she told Sebastian how to fix his.
Penelope and Sebastian were step-siblings who were four years apart in age, but they got along. Today they had both set up their Xbox accounts and were preparing to play co-op on Fable III, only to find out that something was wrong with both their routers.
"K Penny, I got it."
"Alright Seb, now just reset your console and meet me at the castle."
"I can't."
Penny glared at the mic angrily out of the corner of her eye.
"What do you mean you can't?"
"I started a new profile. Meet me at Mistpeak."
Penelope sighed and shook her head. What was this man doing? This was his fourth profile this week. She jumped as sparks shot out of her router.
"Shit." she muttered, checking all the wires.
She fell into the TV as one of the wires shocked her but, she didn't hit anything, she just kept falling.
