"Pick a star, any star you want and it's yours." He said to the young woman that would now be accompanying him for as long as she could last, because like all his former companions, she wouldn't live forever. He stood behind her, breath hot against her soft silky hair, her warmth radiating off her body as he stood watching her, towering over the young woman as she looked out the doors of the strange blue box. The star light left a soft glow over her skin and sparkled in her eyes as she looked at them in wonder, but he wasn't looking at the stars, he was looking solely at her.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she slowly turned towards him. "A star..." she paused, "just for me?"
He nodded as he looked down at her. "Yes."
She looked away, back to the glittery darkness of space, the diamonds twinkling in the sky, before looking at him again, a soft smile forming on her lips. "Then I know what star I'd like."
"Yes?" He gave her a childish smile.
She continued to smile at him. "You."
He leaned back a bit and raised a brow, staring down at her with confusion. "Me?"
"Yes you. You're the brightest star I've ever seen."
His hearts leapt, he almost forgot what it was to be flirted with. He coughed a bit. "You sure? I think I'm a bit dingy."
"No, you're the most brilliant thing in the whole of the universe."
His cheeks reddened and he breezed past her to close the TARDIS doors. "Well then, if you're sure." He couldn't believe how easily embarrassed his new found companion had made him feel, and he would be lying if he said he wasn't invigorated by it.
