Note: this story was made out of boredom and the fact my friend and I feel that Boromir is a mother duck and the hobbits are his ducklings, please note that my friend and i both enjoy Aragorn and Legolas as a couple and slight hints of it are shown in this story.

(Boromir pov)

"Come on little ones," i sighed, motioning to them to stand, pulling slightly on pippins green elven cloak. "its time we go to bed."

"what? im not even tired!" merry tried to argue but his eyes told me otherwise. We had a long day and needed to sleep as much as we could. Slowly I had all four of the little ones together. They laid all together with one large charcoal colored blanket over top them all so they were neatly nestled together into the rock face. I shifted our packs around them so my little hobbits would be comfy. Kneeling i hovered over them and pulled and adjusted the blanket to cover them. Sam snuggled into Frodo who laid between him and Merry with Pippin on the other end clinging into Merry.

"there, sleep well little ones." I said softly as i turned to stand up.

"Borri, could you please tell us a story of your life in Gondor?" Frodo whispered making me stop and sit back on my heels.

"Let me think for a second…" I whispered back pausing to think of my beloved Gondor….

"Ah, i know… In Gondor we would have large festivals and feasts to celebrate the coming of another year as according to our calendar, we would drink and eat until we were sicker than the plague! while the sickness was hardly laughable it was something everyone took part in and it made the troubles of a passing year burn away and become forgotten. We would party til the break of dawn and more often than not, little to nothing got done." I laugh a little quietly and notice my dear little ones fast asleep. Leaning down i kiss them all gently on the forehead. Moving as silently as i could muster i stood and walked to where Gimli sat stoking the dying fire.

"You remind me of my dear mom, ya know Boromir? the only difference is that she is 3x the man you'll be my lad!" Gimli chuckled waving his trusty ax at me.

Legolas and Aragorn came slowly walking back, legolas slightly limping and leaves in his hair and Aragorn smirking at him like he was king of the entire middle earth and the undying lands!

"Where have you been? And i thought you be getting more wood!" Gimli asked raising his voice slightly (not loud enough to wake the little ones i mind you, but enough to make a point)

"Don't worry, I'll go back to get it!" laughed Aragorn winking at Legolas before turning around and heading back, As Legolas cringed as he sat down with Gimli. Sitting down with them I gazed at the starry night, too bad the reason we travel is not of something less serious.
