Itachi walked away from his house, it was getting so frustrating

Itachi walked away from his house, it was getting so frustrating. With the fighting going on and him trying to live a normal life. Working for both sides just wasn't working. One wants it one way, the other wants it a totally different way. No matter what, conflict was unavoidable.

He had decided to go to the spot where he used to train as a genin. It was a small clearing in the forest so not many people went his way unless they had to go through it for their mission. Leaning against a tree, he looked up at the treetops and wondered what it would be like if all this would stop, if the pain would go away. He didn't want another war to start. Wars were too unbearable. Madara wasn't here to help him. When he was little, his sensei would always help with the tough decision that he knew he couldn't make on his own. iMadara . . . where are you?/i Itachi asked silently, closing his eyes. "You always came here when you had a problem. You never change, do you Itachi?"

Itachi opened his eyes and saw a man standing before him. He was wearing a mask but despite this, Itachi knew who he was. He was his sensei, Madara Uchiha. "Why are you wearing that mask?" Itachi asked, standing up straight.

"Because I want to. What's wrong?" Madara asked. Itachi looked to the ground.

"I don't know what to do." He said. Madara walked forward and put a hand on Itachi's shoulder. Itachi's gaze snapped back up at his sensei.

"You know what to do, I know you do. Even though you seem like you don't know, you do and you just want someone who thinks the same; someone that approves your thoughts. Itachi, just follow your instincts." Madara comforted him. Itachi nodded his head.

"It's been a while since I've seen you Madara. What have you been up to?"

"Nothing. I've just tried to stay away from Konoha," Madara said, "how about you? Have you been having fun without your sensei?" Itachi let out a small laugh. Madara smiled behind his mask. "Do you want to go get something to eat? Outside of this village, obviously."

"You know the penalty for going outside these walls Madara. I can't do that. Can't we just get something-"

"No. I don't want to see any of these people. They betrayed me." Madara snapped. Itachi nodded. "Forget the whole idea. Let's just sit, it's a nice night." Madara sat down and leaned his back against the tree that Itachi was by. Itachi seated himself next to Madara and did the same.

"Madara . . . I missed you while you were gone."

"You did?"

"Yeah. Things have been so different. There hasn't been a day where I haven't had a mission to do. The village is talking about rebellion and the Hokage has already been suspicious of it and now that the suspicion has become true I think that war is going to come and . . . I don't want it to."

Madara looked over to Itachi, who was staring at the ground looking like he was about to start crying, and put an arm around him. "Hey, it's going to be okay in the long run. Itachi, don't fear war. I know its hell but sometimes you have to just press on and not let what happened affect everything you do. I know you were just a little kid when the one war went on so it's hard to swallow. You may look like a man and act like one but inside I know you're still a little kid." Itachi's cheeks turned a light shade of red. Madara pulled up his mask a bit and then kissed Itachi on the cheek, just as he always did when Itachi needed comfort. Itachi smiled and replied with the same answer that he always gave.

"Madara-sensei, that's gross." Both Madara and Itachi began to laugh.
