A lone figure was slowly troding through an empty field. Emerald hair blowing sofly in the wind. He tilts his head torwards the horizen. The sun was making its way under the horizen, painting the sky in a morbid of colors and rays. It was a sight to take your breath away. And soon the sight vanished into nothing but empty nothingness.
He looks to the stars beginning to form in the night sky and sends a little wish upon them. "Please, can I see you again one more time?"
If for just a second, he sees her. Her silohette in the distance just before the sun dropped completely. Just as the sun was going down, her form began to fade with it, leaving him alone once more.
He searches the sky above him, eyes wandering from one point to another, looking, hoping to get a glimsp of her again but to no avail. He sighs a staggered sigh and runs a hand through his hair. Wondering where she vanished to.
He lowers his head from the dreary sky and looks in the distance and notices a tree that shatters the stars above it with its figure. He walks to it slowly and finds a single rose. His heart breaks, remembering her favorite flower that he would buy her on occations to show her his affections. And everytime he gave them to her, she would gently smile him and he would stare in awe at her beauty. "Maybe I could see your smile once. Then, I'd never ever want anything more..."
He sits next to the single rose and rests his dreary head on the trunk of the tree. He looks at the stars again and thinks of all the memories. Everything that she left behind. He closes his eyes and lets a tear escape and sends a plea to the stars the shine so silently in the sky, "Please don't stay away forever, so distant from me.." as his tears slide down his face and onto the hard ground beneath him and doesn't notice how they let the tree gain strength from the pain he has shed.
"Can you see me right now ? Surely, you have seen my tears falling to the ground.." He whispers to the wind, hoping, praying that she could hear him.
He brings his rough hand to his face and covers his eyes. He takes a deep breath before he shouts to the sky, getting on his knees, "Please hear me !"
He wipes his eyes viciously, he knows she wouldn't want to see him like this. He continues to look at the sky, knowing that somewhere beyond the stars, she resides, waiting for him.
Even if he cannot see her with his golden orbs, he knows in his heart, that they will meet again. He smiles as he hears faint footsteps making their way torwards him. "Ryoma.." a giggle was heard. A small hand made its way to his line of vision, he can see the ring glinting under the stars. Their intials engraved on them. He looks up and his breath hitches.
"I heard you." She smiles down at him.
"Sakuno.." he breaths. He takes her hand and pulls her into a warm embrace.
She giggles and burys her face in his chest. "It's time, Ryoma." she whispers into his chest. He chuckles, his chest vibrating her face. "I know," he says while tightening his hold on her. "Let's go, Sakuno.." is the last thing said as they walk hand and hand into the horizen, vanishing into the night sky.
The moniter beeps loudly in the little room. Nurses and doctors try to save the patient. But to no avail. His soul has made up its mind.
They left the world to their little travler.
