Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter.

WARNINGS: Some of this content is sad, depressing and forceful. It may force people who are living through wars to stop their illusions and face the facts. It's kind of dark, too. Also, this is Harry/Luna or Luna/Harry, whichever you prefer. I am so sorry if this was done before, but let me say that at least I HAD THOUGHT OF THIS MYSELF! Don't kill me, whoever thought so too.

Luna Lovegood tends to believe in things that the world disagrees on. For example, Wrackspurts or Crumpled-Horn Snorkaks. Luna knows they are there, and that's what Luna wants to tell the world. Only Harry Potter believed in her however, and she would never admit it, but every time somebody calls her "Looney Lovegood", a corner of her heart burns black and snaps off her heart, just like one of the halves had when her mother died due to that potions accident. But she had healed, sort of, when Harry came into the picture.

Harry. That was all that mattered, really. Luna can do anything when Harry was by her side. He believed in her wild stories and even subscribed to The Quibbler. He stood up to her against his friends, and she and he knew that was hard for him since he really only had two friends in his first year, the others were mainly acquaintances. No, Luna plan to change the number soon. But right now, Harry had just learned of Albus Dumbledore's betrayal and belittlement, his godfather had fallen through The Veil Of Death (one of the many things Luna believed in and the others had not, but a whole large group of people had just seen it) and his friends had ditched him because of it. Harry always stayed locked up in a broom closet or cupboard as Luna had caught him many times. He wanted to be neutral. Luna laughed bitterly at that.

This time, others believe what Luna doesn't. There is no neutral side. There are only two sides in wars: the winning side and the losing side. There's none in between, just that. People are so stupid sometimes. Take this war for example: there is always an advantage for the "Light" Side: (Luna sneered at the thought of there being "light".) As long as there is the wicked, there is the good. No matter how many years, how many troops, casualties and lives, the evil will always be defeated in the end. Another will take its place and the cycle shall restart.

Luna sighed as the burning tattoo of a skull and a snake on her left forearm burned. Her eye twitched, and she kissed the lips of a sleeping Harry. He will never know, either secret, he would never know. His heart, no matter what kind of beating it will take had endured it all, even if everything was even darker than Luna's path. No, he will live, even if Luna will have to repeat Severus Snape's legacy, he will live. If Luna had to beg the Dark Lord, she will, oh she will.

Even if it was the last thing she'd do, she's always love him even though it is unrequited.

Always.
