Chapter 1
Sugar deprived, L paced back and forth in the police headquarters, biting at his thumb nail as he avoided thinking about the sweet tasting, sugar coated, mouth-watering sweets that were being delivered later that night. His back was hunched over; the loose fitting top he was wearing seemed overly large on his slender figure.
The detective's eyes lazily scanned the monitors before him, the five of them showing different angles of Light's bedroom, which, he noted, was remarkably tidy for a college student. "Hmm, Light, it is 17% now," A room so tidy was clearly indicative of a person with something to hide, he mused.
The scruffy L watched the younger man walk about his bedroom, place his folded clothes neatly on his computer chair before climbing into bed, switching the light off and enveloping the room in total darkness.
The other detectives had gone home by now- there was no real need for the five of them to watch the sleeping teenager.
Reaching for his coffee, L dropped five sugar cubes one at a time into the steaming hot cup stirring it exactly four times anti-clockwise. Extremely methodical by nature, he followed the recipe for the same sweet outcome, or at least he could, without even taking a sip of his drink, know it would be the right amount of sweetness for the bitterness of the coffee.
"If only you were that easy to determine, Kira."
Movement! L observed as the covers came down over the other's lithe body; covering only Light's left hand. A couple of seconds later and Light was holding a dirty magazine from under the bed. Little did L know that it contained a page of the DeathNote, and a small pencil for him to write with.
'With this I will be able to distract L's attention, and get some names in before bed,' Light smirked silently, he hoped his smile would be perceived as more about what he was about to do than what he was thinking about.
Ryuk sat at the edge of the bed, "I hope you're not doing what I think you're doing." Light rummaged around in his briefs, careful not to expose himself to the unwilling hentai detective. He knew he would be unable to pretend to be enjoying himself, with his legs up and the magazine leaning against them he simultaneously touched himself whilst writing in on the DeathNote.
Wide, unblinking eyes watched the screens curiously, pressing a fingertip to his chapped lips to nibble on. Despite the current awkward position, L knew he would not be able to look away. "Very clever, Kira," he mumbled to no one but himself, his once pale complexion tinting a slight pink as he looked on.
His eyes darted from the magazine to Light, back to the magazine, trying not to linger too long on the moving hand, cunningly hidden in boxers. He was thankful that the chestnut-haired boy was not making any noises; the sight alone would not be able to leave the young masterminds thoughts any time soon.
L perched forward on his seat, knees pressing into his ribs as he got closer to the screens before him, watching as Light placed the magazine face down on his bed and his hand picking up speed.
'Just a normal boy', thought L, nibbling on his finger. 'Or perhaps that is what you want me to believe, Kira?'
Light gasped and sighed as he came.
"20%" said L, to himself.
