(This is a short oneshot about after Jace and Clary return from Idris. Jace is hard to write! I hope he was still in character... If you haven't read City of Glass I wouldn't recommend you read this... I WOULD recommend you go out and get City of Glass!! :) Please enjoy
Disclaimer: I don't own Jace or Clary or the Mortal Instruments Cassandra Clare does!... if I did there would be a strange person who swept Raphael away and he would disappear for a looonnnggg time :D)
Jace, sat up from his bed. He looked at the clock on his bed-side table. He heard the thumping that came from the kitchen of the Institute, the sound that had woken him. He sighed, pulling himself out of bed with a yawn. His golden eyes took in the room. There was never a thing out of place. The thumping came again. He laughed to himself.
Clary.
He stepped silently down the stairs, finding someone raiding their fridge.
He raised a blonde eyebrow.
"Finding anything sweeter than me?"
Clary jumped, slamming the door closed.
"Sorry, I was hungry." She looked down, her cheeks stained a soft pink.
"Oh don't apologize, although I don't know what you'd find... Isabelle has been cooking lately." He grimaced at the thought.
She looked up at him with her innocent green eyes, he was shirtless.
"We have apples in the pantry." Clary glanced at him, a smile lighting her face. Jace disappeared into the pantry, returning a few moments later.
"How convenient."
Jace smirked. "Very."
He walked toward her, handing her the apple. She set it on the counter behind her.
His finger traced down her cheek to her lips, grazing her neck. She felt goose bumps rise on her arms.
"Jace..."
He laughed, raising her chin upward.
"Hmm?"
Clary bit her lip and shook her head. "Never mind."
"Good."
Jace's fingers curled in Clary's bright red hair, his lips pressing to hers in slow, deliberate patterns.
"I love you, Clary Fray." He whispered, breathlessly. "You are the only girl I've wanted this badly." All his carefully built up walls seemed to break down, crumbling under the pressure of her touch.
"Just kiss me Jace..." Clary sighed. He grinned at her.
The violent movement of his lips slowed to a gentle motion.
Clary was trapped between the counter and Jace. She could feel the hard planes of his chest against her. His heart was beating at a steady beat, more defined than any regular human being. She felt the soft strands of hair between her fingers. His steady breathes calmed her racing heart.
There was no wrong in this, not anymore. Jace was here, and he was not her flesh and blood. He wasn't her brother and she was freed of the guilt of loving him.
----
The next morning, golden light hit Jace's bedroom floor. He woke up, alone and looked around his room, not a thing out of place, except for a pair of socks that lay on his floor... oh yes, Clary.
(Okay I have to point out the key word of the last paragraph, they did not sleep together... :) Yeah this is my first MI fanfic so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. I love Clary/Jace fluffyness! Please if you want review, they make me feel loved... and sometimes hated... either way... I hope you did enjoy and thank you so much for reading!
