Tsuna was staring out the window, when a kick to his head sent him face first to his desk. He let out a yelp, and rubbed the back of his head and face, hearing startled cries of 'Juudaime!' Tsuna sat up, groaning in pain as he turned his gaze towards hit tutor.

"R-Reborn! What is it?" He asked, rubbing his aching nose. Reborn hopped onto the windowsill, looking out at the entrance of Namimori Middle School. "Reborn...?" Tsuna asked, confused. Gokudera and Yamamoto walked up to the window, looking down. There, leaning against the wall, was a girl with waist length black hair and piercing azure eyes. "A-Aria-san? What is she still doing here?" Tsuna asked, "didn't school hours end a while ago?"

"She must be waiting for someone," Yamamoto pondered, "after all, some students are still here for afterschool clubs."

"Che. Then why is that woman not inside?" Gokudera asked impatiently.

"Ahaha~ Maybe she's meeting her brother there!" Yamamoto laughed. Gokudera grunted, popping a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it.

"We are going to meet with her," Reborn hopped down, trotting out the door, ignoring Tsuna's cry of protest. The others ran after him, confusion taking over their expressions. Before opening the front doors, Reborn stopped running, and turned to face the others. Tsuna stopped, panting slightly.

"Wh-why are we meeting with her?" Reborn smirked.

"She might be an excellent addition to the family."

"You-you've got to be kidding!" Tsuna gripped his head in exasperation, "don't we already have enough family members!?"

"Dame-Tsuna, no one family can have too many members," Reborn reprimanded him. Tsuna sighed; Reborn's actions always were crazy, but everything turned out ok in the end... "She is an excellent student, smart, cunning, and can comprehend a situation with a glance of her eyes." Reborn rattled off her traits, "and you, Tsuna, will ask her for her history notes."

"Wh-why?"

"You'd be surprised what one fingerprint can do."

Tsuna gulped.

[...]

"A-Aria-san!" Tsuna called, running up to you. Turning your attention to him, your eyes snapped up to meet his, and he stopped, freezing at your intimidating look.

"Yes, Sawada Tsunayoshi? Is there something you needed?" You asked, coolly, flipping the page of your book.

"Oi! Treat the Juudaime with more respect, woman!" Gokudera growled, narrowing his eyes. You turned your sharp glare to him, and he froze slightly, taking an unconscious step back. Once again, your eyes slid back to the page you were reading.

"Ahaha! You're very intimidating!" Yamamoto laughed. You snapped your book shut, ready to snap at them.

"Tsuna would like to borrow your notes," Reborn's voice caught your attention, and an eyebrow slowly rose as you stared down the smartly dressed hitman, "We hope you don't mind."

"...Who are you?" You asked. If this kid was a baby, then how could he speak such fluent Japanese? "Shouldn't you be in pre-school, kid?" Tsuna gulped silently when Leon slowly transformed into a gun. Your eyes narrowed at this, sensing the rising danger. You ignored it though, glaring down at the kid.

"U-uh..." Tsuna broke the silence, and your eyes met his once more, "I-I'm really sorry to trouble you like this, b-but I have a test tomorrow and I wasn't able to keep up with the notes—" and his sentence was cut off as a notebook hit him in the face, and he yelped, catching it before it hit the ground.

"Oi! Don't do that to the Juudaime!" Gokudera fumed. Snapping your book shut, you turned your head to glare at him, black locks swaying with you movements.

"S-sorry, Aria-san! We-we'll make it up to you!" Tsuna called, pulling Gokudera away as Yamamoto followed them, still grinning. You nodded silently, and slung your bag over your shoulder, when something clicked. If Tsunayoshi wasn't in your class, then why would he want your history notes? You shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it and began to head home, disgruntled by the fact that your reading time had been interrupted.

[...]

"Good job, Tsuna," Reborn smirked slightly, making Tsuna sweat drop.

"Should we really be doing this? It feels like we just stole classified information..."

"It won't be classified for long."

"Th-that's horrible!"

[...]

"Aria Nakamura." Tsuna looked at Reborn from his bed, the small hitman was sitting cross-legged on his desk. "Aria Nakamura, age fifteen. Mother and father died in a house fire at the age of three, almost all of her other relatives abandoned her. Currently living in Namimori, visited by her Aunt, who took care of her until she could live by herself. Somewhat cold and distant, but likes small animals and reading, draws in her free time as well. Good grades, work ethic." Reborn rattled off fact after fact until Tsuna put up his hands.

"O-Ok, ok, it's great that you know a lot about her, but why did you need to know all of this?" Reborn smirked, his eyes glinting. Tsuna gulped, getting a bad feeling from the way his tutor was smirking.

[...]

"Aria Nakamura."

Looking up reluctantly at the sound of your name—it irritated you a little to be interrupted—you saw the baby from yesterday. Seriously, why was he wearing a suit? "You..." and your eyes narrowed slightly, seeing Reborn smirk.

"I have a proposal for you." You noted the tone of his voice and the meaning behind his words; it wasn't a proposal, but a command. You decided to humor him a little longer.

"What might that be?"

"Join Tsuna's Mafia family."

"What's in it for me?" You asked, lacing your fingers together and resting your chin on them, placing your elbows on the desk beneath you. "I don't go around joining Mafia families without an agreement, you know."

"You can get strong, kill people, maybe revenge here and there." Your eyes drifted to the sky, the bright blue area dotted by white clouds.

"Why not? I accept your proposal."

Reborn smirked.

[...]

"Why am I here again?" You asked, your eyebrow twitching as Tsuna tried to run after Lambo.

"For a test, stupid woman." Gokudera grunted, smoking one of his cancer sticks. Your eyebrow twitched.

"Don't call me stupid Octo-head!"

"You wanna go!? I'll blow you to bits!" You snapped, glaring at Gokudera, a pocketknife slid from your sleeve.

"I'll stab you to death!"

"HIIEE! P-please stop fighting you guys!"

"Ahaha, you're all so full of energy!"

"Shut up baseball-idiot!"

Reborn jumped into Tsuna's head. "We will have Aria complete a test, but it could be at any point. So be prepared." You nodded, sending one last glare in Gokudera's direction. Reborn smirked. "Good." After you showed I-pin and Lambo around without killing the small Lightning Guardian you all parted ways.

[...]

The next morning, you yawned, getting dressed and brushing your teeth before going outside to check the mail. Bills, school letter, letter from aunt, and a letter from the zoo. Scanning through the last one, you saw a plea to anyone who visited the zoo frequently to help support the zoo, or they'd go out of business. You wrote a check for a thousand yen (roughly 101 U.S, dollars) and put the envelope in your handbag, putting on your shoes. Walking to the post office, you slipped the envelope into the slot, before walking home. However, you didn't make it that far because a familiar voice stopped you.

"Aria-san!" Turning, you saw Tsuna, Gokudera, Yamamoto and Reborn all in a small group. Tsuna ran up to you, greeting you with a 'good morning', before asked you a question. "Do you want to join us to go to the movies?" Tsuna asked. You thought about it for a moment, before nodding hesitantly.

The movie you all had gone to see was a horror movie, but the movie attendants had thrown you all out for several reasons...

Tsuna kept interrupting with loud 'HIIIEEE''s whenever there was a jump scare (which was the majority of the movie)

Gokudera kept jumping to his feet, shouting he would protect him

Yamamoto laughed at the two, and that was louder than Gokudera shouting or Tsuna freaking out

Reborn threatened Tsuna with his Leon-gun

Gokudera threw a stick of dynamite at the screen

Tsuna accidentally sent someone else's popcorn flying over the head of another person

The whole time, you rolled your eyes at the group, sitting with your arms and legs crossed. The other people in the theatre had complained, thus resulting in the movie being stopped and your group thrown out of the theatre. After getting the doors slammed in your faces, you turned on Gokudera, your eyes spitting flames.

"You. Are a MORON." You snapped.

"What did you say, woman!?" Gokudera demanded. You narrowed your eyes at him.

"You heard me, Octo-head!"

"I'll blow you to bits!"

"I'll stab you to death!"

"P-please stop fighting! People are staring!"

"My god... Shaddup." Hearing the slurred speech caused your nose to wrinkle. Two drunkards had wobbled over to the small group, waving half empty bottles of beer, a slanted frown on their faces. Bloodshot eyes and dirty clothes two sizes too big spelled out 'homeless'. While you felt a small twinge of sympathy, you couldn't help but narrow your eyes at them. "I swear.. brats get louder and louder..." the first man spoke, causing the other to bob his head up and down in agreement.

"I suggest you move out of the way." You growled. The two men stumbled closer, followed by four other men, all dirty with overgrown bears and half-empty alcohol bottles.

"Oh? And whaddya gonna do 'bout it, girly?" They sneered. You reached into your sleeves, taking out short daggers and bracing yourself.

"I'm going to move you by force. I'm rather ticked off, old man, and you don't want to make me angrier."

"Who're calling old man, bitch!" he spat, smashing his bottle against the wall and lunging at you. Tsuna called out your name in panic, but Reborn stopped him. You dodged the first and second man's attack, watching them stumble before regaining what was left of their balance. The other four lunged, broken bottles in the hands.

"R-Reborn! D-do something!" Tsuna grabbed his head in a frantic manner. The small hitman only smirked.

"Aria can handle it."

After dodging another sloppy swing from one of the drunken men, you scowled, your frustration growing.

"I'm don't playing," you growled. Taking the blunt end of your daggers, you sent a quick, but hard jab to the thug's necks, rendering them unconscious. Tsuna gaped, amazed. The guys stayed in their attack positions for a few seconds, before dropping to the ground, the smashing of the bottles making you narrow your eyes slightly.

"Easy." You patted your hands free of non-existent dirt. Reborn was smirking, Tsuna was still baffled, Gokudera had lit up a cigarette and was scowling, and Yamamoto looked impressed.

"Very good, Aria. You've passed the test." Reborn smirked, jumping off of Yamamoto's shoulder. You smiled slightly.

"Sh-she did?" Tsuna asked.

"Yes. She was able to defend herself as well as her friends, and be kind to many, small animals." Reborn smirked. You remembered the mail from this morning. So Reborn must have set that up.

"Welcome to the Vongola Family."

"My pleasure." You grinned.

"Herbivores..."

"Hiiee! Hibari-san!"

"Disturbing the peace of Namimori is against the rules. I'll bite you to death." He threatened, baring his tonfas. You narrowed your eyes, striding up to him and ignoring the other's distressed calls.

"Listen here, insect," you snarled, "these drunken slobs attacked us first. We didn't disturb the peace of Namimori. They did. We merely fought them off and prevented any further destruction,"

'More like cause more destruction...' Tsuna sweat dropped slightly.

"So SURELY you don't have a problem with that, right, insect?" You finished, challenging him with a hard stare. Hibari glared down at you with cold grey eyes.

"For disrespecting a Disciplinary Committee Member, I'll bite you to death."

"I'll stab you to death," you countered. There was a tense silence between the two of you.

"You're an interesting herbivore," Hibari smirked. You mirrored him.

"Could say the same for you, insect."

[At school the next day]

"Herbivores. Crowding is against the rule. Move before I bite you to death." Everyone scattered, returning to their respective classrooms. The only two people who didn't move were you and Reborn, who were chatting. "Herbivore... Baby..." Hibari glared, tightening his grip on his beloved tonfas.

"Insect," you mocked, tilting your head in his direction, your [e/c] eyes locking with his cold, narrowed grey ones.

"Crowding," Hibari started again, "is against the rules. I'll—"

"Yeah, yeah, bite the living hell outta me, I gottcha." You rolled your eyes, turning your head to Reborn—who wasn't there. "Reborn? Where'd you go?" You asked. The sneaky baby had gotten away...

...leaving you alone with a pissed off prefect breathing down your neck. Quite literally, too. Shifting your eyes, you stayed perfectly still, as if a single move would have him attack you.

"You mind giving me some space?" You asked, feeling your cheeks heat up slightly. Hibari noticed, and he smirked slightly.

"Fight me."

"Excuse me?" You asked, completely caught off-guard.

"Fight me, herbivore. You interest me."

"...Whatever you say, insect."

Soon, the two of you were standing outside by the cherry blossom trees; you armed with your dagger, Hibari with his tonfas. A slight breeze rustled your hair, and fragile pink petals floated down. The two of you shared a glance, before the two of you attacked at the same time. Landing blows occasionally was more dangerous for Hibari than you, he bled, while you only got bruised.

"Hn. Not bad." Hibari smirked at you. The two of you circled each other.

"Oh, a compliment from the insect, I'm so honored." You mocked him, smirking at Hibari's irritated look. The next time the two of you charged at each other, his foot hooked around your ankle sending you crashing to the ground with a grunt. Hibari loomed over you, pressing one tonfa against your throat, and the other pressing into your stomach. He straddled you. You pushed yourself up on your elbows, despite the increase in pressure on your throat.

"Try calling me that again," he murmured, his own eyes scanning yours.

"What, insect?" your voice was slightly raspy from lack of air.

"I'll bite you to death..." he murmured, mostly to himself. Your smirk widened, your eyes burning with a challenge.

"Try me."

A smirk curled up the corners of his mouth, and suddenly, you were flat on your back again. Caught off guard from the sudden movement, it took you a moment to realize Hibari sunk his teeth into your neck. With a sharp cry, you froze, trembling. Hibari used his tongue to soothe the pain a little, but sunk his teeth deeper, tasting coppery metallic blood. You tried to force him off, but he was heavy, despite his lean body, and stronger than you. His hands wrapped around your wrists, pinning them down as he licked the blood away.

"Haa..." you gasped, "H-Hibari..." Your eyes squeezed shut; and you felt his smirk against your heated skin. Hibari bit down on another spot, and you cried out again, squirming beneath him. "S-stop it, Hibari..." Your face was red.

He finally pulled back and smirked at the marks on your neck and shoulder. "Mine..." he whispered, brushing his lips against your eyelid. A small shock jolted through your body. But inside, you felt warm, and relaxed. The next second, Hibari was standing up, putting away his tonfas. You blinked, feeling slightly disappointed, but following suit, brushing dirt off your uniform.

"Detention after school for injuring a Disciplinary member." He grunted, walking away from you abruptly.

You still caught the smug smirk on his face.
