Memories of a Dream

I shroud my tears aptly,

From the people hide my pain.

True mind in forbidden thoughts,

Could I bring you back again?

Our time together all too brief,

Too soon came our goodbye.

Watched as you faded from our sight,

Within the Farplane's sky.

Will the people know you by your deeds?

How you knew what would portend?

Knew how you actions doomed yourself,

And how you fought up to the end?

Besaid, Luca, I walk alone,

Walk on an empty shore.

Free from Sin, free from death's turn,

Alone, while you're no more.

High and bright and warm's the sun,

And yet I feel chill.

You've faded from face of this world,

And it feels far more still.

And so I sit, and weep, reflect,

Beneath the sunlight's gleam.

Hanging onto memories,

Of an everlasting dream.
