Dedication: To lazy Saturdays spent with friends

Saturday

Saturday was the day when nothing had to be done. It was the start of the weekend and all the homework and Quidditch practices and dates could be put off, because tomorrow was Sunday, and a whole day when things could be completed.

When Sirius was young, Saturday was a day for doing nothing and so was Sunday, because that was what life was like in the Black household.

Sirius carried this through to school. On Saturdays he could sit and watch the fire. Or just think about what a frantic day Sunday would be. He thought of what he could have done today, but was better saved for tomorrow.

I could tell Remus today. He sometimes thought. I could tell him, then he'd have Sunday to stew it over. Another part of him told him to leave it until tomorrow, because Saturday was a lazy day.

Sirius put off a lifetime of telling Remus, and giving him Sunday to stew it over.

A/N: Did that make any sense whatsoever? By the way, I thought I'd stop writing slash for a while and do a few het stories, see if I can!
