I miss you. It's not the same without you.

If it hadn't been for Beth I think I would have joined you by now. Beth keeps me alive, and she keeps you alive. She looks so much like you, it almost frightens me sometimes.

She has this look. When I say something she founds silly, she crosses her arms, looks up at me with a frown, and says 'Daddy' in the same tone of voice you used to. She's wonderful, love.

She's starting Hogwarts this year, she's been ecstatic since she got the letter, Ms Elizabeth Molly Black. Can you believe it? Our baby girl.

We're going to Diagon Alley tomorrow to buy all her school things. She's looking forward to it so much, she will see her uncles again, and all her little cousins. Angelina's pregnant again by the way, it will be her and Fred's third. She's due sometimes around Christmas.

I'm working on putting together a photo album for Beth. I have pictures of all the Weasleys and of Harry and Hermione. And on all her uncles families. But most of them are of you. I made a copy of the photo I have in the bedroom, the one where you're holding our new-born Beth in your arms. You're practically glowing in it. I love that picture; both you and Beth are so beautiful.

I'm going to give it to her before she leaves, so she won't forget about us.

I'm also giving her the Marauder's Map, so she can have some fun during her years at Hogwarts. But I trust she'll be careful, she's a clever girl. The things she say sometimes, it surprises me. She's still so young and yet she says these intelligent things. Things you wouldn't expect from an eleven-year-old. I will miss her tremendously when she leaves.

You're taking care of Harry for me? I miss him too, tell him that. I miss them all; James and Lily, Remus, Ron and Hermione, Arthur and Molly, Tonks, Dumbledore – and all the others. And I miss you Ginny, so much it hurts. Beth misses you too; she talks about you constantly. Just the other day she gave a Ministry worker a whole lecture about you, about the great woman you were. I cried.

It's the little things, she says. The way you used to tell her stories and kiss her on the forehead. And the way your voice would get higher when you got mad at her, even that she misses. I love hearing her talk about you; there are so many things she remembers. It's amazing, really.

I'm sorry you'll miss seeing her grow up. She's so beautiful, you would be very proud of her.

I should go now; I don't want to leave Beth for too long. She's staying at Bill's, and all the little cousins drive her crazy. They follow her every footstep, so when I finally come to pick her up she's exhausted. She always complains about them, but she really loves it when they follow her. She like it how they idolize her, even though she wouldn't say it to anyone. It's very obvious, but I make sure not to say that to her face.

I'll tell her you said 'Hi'.

I love you, Ginny. Always.
