Ginny opened the front door and entered the hall of her flat. It was a big flat, with a high ceiling and large rooms. Ginny had been lucky to be able to get hold of such a nice flat, they were very rare in London. Especially in this central location; it was only a few minutes walk to The Leaky Cauldron.
Ginny hung up her cloak, and while she did that she thought she could smell something, a smell like something was burning. She hurried down the hall to the kitchen from were the smell came, and when she opened the door found Sirius running around in it with a big pot of water.
"Sirius, what are you doing?" she called at him.
Sirius turned around and saw Ginny standing in the doorway, looking rather shocked. "Ginny! No, get out!" He came at her and pushed her out of the kitchen, but not without a struggle.
"Sirius! Stop it!" she shouted.
"No, you weren't supposed to come home yet. Not for another hour at least." Sirius said and then dropped his shoulder in disappointment. "I was going to surprise you."
"With what? A burnt down kitchen?" said Ginny and laughed.
"No," he said. "I was going to cook you dinner. But it's not my fault your bloody oven doesn't work."
Ginny laughed even more at that. "That's strange," she said smiling, "it worked last night."
Sirius just grunted.
"But it's okay," Ginny said and kissed Sirius. "It was a good try, and I appreciate that."
Sirius smiled at her and they kissed again. "I'm glad you're back, though. Now you can help me put out the fire."
