Chapter 1 (revised)
She stood at the top of the battlements at Blue Gate abbey. She new they would come, in fact she could almost taste them. But to no avail, she couldn't see them from any distance. " I hope they are okay " she said as she started to sniffle. Suddenly, a hare named Truffle came upon the bottom of the battlement stairway. " I say old gel, how's the pickins? " Truffle asked, now standing upon the great battlements with his friend. " Oh, a weary traveler or two, but no sign of Casey " she sighed, the usual jingle gone from her voice as now she was in a serious tone. " Well then, the more tucker for us than wot? C'mon, lets go inside Sapphire Cause. They have our favorites tonight!" the hare smiled, he knew that when he said this she would go crazy, which is exactly what happened! " Are you serious Truffle? Are you positive? " She said, now grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him. " Why would I lie to you old gel? And if you don't stop shaken me then I'll give you the bally-limit!" Truffle laughed, he started beckoning her to come on an hurry up! Shaking his paws, Luna came laughing and squealing down the stairs. " I say Luna you run fast for a squirrel! And that is fast!" By now Truffle was panting, he was running quite fast for a hare but he could not keep up with his speedy and overall hungry friend.
The crimson sky mixed with the orange glow of the sun setting on the horizon. The sky behind Blue Gate abbey gradually transforming from a blue summer's day too a dark mix of bluish-purple. The sun's last rays mingling with with the trees, silhouetting them to dark figures against the sun, changing them bright orange to the west, and blackish-blue to the east. Luna yelled at Truffle, who was a bit behind, "aren't you huuunngryyy? Strawwww berries and MEAAADOW CREEEAAM!" now she was beginning to gloat again, and that little jingle signifying she's happy returned for a visit. The main abbey walls built of fine sapphire, marble, and graphite. Most of the buildings inside built with Bricks of marble, and clay, with sprinklings of sapphire and ruby to remind them were and who they are. From the entrance of the main gate, if you go straight ahead, you will find great hall, the infirmary and Sapphire Cause. If you go to your left, you will see, as expected, a great pond with small salmon, shrimp, and various others. Around the lake, lay an orchard, filled with many wondrous fruits and vegetation. From apple trees to Zucchini crops. The trees were losing their leaves, as now summer was coming to a close and a new season yet to approach, yet veering at almost the boundary line. The usually dark blue lake now shades of purple and orange from the setting sun.
Also on the battlements: abbess tranqe.E Willity, a mouse-maid, just standing there, admiring the glistening glory of the sun and the change of the seasons. Just like Truffle did, an old mole came walking up too the battlements. "Thurr bee arnythin wrong mizz? Woi arent you durn at Sapphire Cuurse?" the abbess sighed, "Oh john, I'm worried about Casey, he hasn't been home for four seasons" she was worried, John could tell and tried to comfort her. "Thurr thurr, oi aint a worries, moi diggun claws terri'n me that maister Casey will be foin" from what John saw in the abbess's eyes, he could tell that it had worked also. "You think so? Oh, thanks for comforting me!" as she hugs john and runs down the stairs for the supper in Sapphire Cause, the last ray of the sun dies down.
