Rain. It was raining again.
Lita listened to it for a few minutes. She hated the rain. Had ever since she wss ten and her mother died.
Lita had been in the car, she remembered the crash and crunch and nothing else. She'd woken up motherless and not the same.
But he'd changed that. He made her love it. The long nights in bed making love to the sound, listening to it, talking to it. It made here love it as long as she was with him, but that wouldn't happen anymore.
He was gone.
Lita lay back on the bed they'd picked out three years ago together, when they'd first married. It was a beautiful bed, but now she hated it.
She hated many things now.
They'd been so happy. She was pregnant. It was the perfect ending to their dream. The greatest gift of life.
Lita should have known better. She'd been too happy, too settled. It always happened. She was happy, then it was taken away.
The blood was the most vivid memory she had.
She'd been home, called him to say she'd thought of the perfect name for their little girl, the future Cena princess.
Sarah.
Sarah Joy Cena.
She was going to be mommy's angel and daddy's princess.
John had loved the name, said it was perfect, then he had to go, he had a match.
Lita let him go. She was happy. Lita Dumas Cena was in love with her husband and her baby. Life was perfect.
Then blood.
So much blood.
On the sheets, on her, on the floor, the ambulance.
She made it to the hospital only to be told the baby was dead.
The baby, the fetus, the nurses said.
So much blood.
So tiny, so beautiful, so lifeless. So alive.
Lita had seen her little Sarah. She looked like she was sleeping, but no she was dead.
He wasn't there. He had a match. But he made it in time to be told his daughter was dead and his wife was close behind.
She'd been saved only at the expense of no more children. The operation had made sure of that.
He had entered the hospital room, an air of guilt about him. She should have known then, but she was too lost in herself.
Lost in the loss of the baby, of her ability to have more.
She finally seemed to recover, then he was gone, more.
He came home, but was a ghost.
She knew.
He was cheating.
He was going to leave her. She knew it.
The other shoe had dropped.
Just another loss for Lita Dumas Cena to add to so many others.
She knew it was because she was broken.
She couldn't be the same after so much loss and he couldn't deal with ti.
He'd suggested she travel with him, she refused.
Get back in the ring. No she said.
He gave up. Turned to her. Turned away from Lita his wife.
Turned to her best friend once upon a time.
Now she was lost, broken, shattered.
He had left her this morning. Saying he'd loved her but she wasn't the same. He couldn't live with a ghost anymore.
So he moved on found a nice warm body with blonde hair and big fake boobs and the ability to give him children.
She was everything Lita wasn't. She was alive, happy, whole.
And she was pregnant.
So John Cena left his wife of three years, the mother of his dead princess Sarah.
Left her for her best friend, the pregnant Trish Stratus. Soon to be Mrs. John Cena.
Lita was alone, with their house, their bed and the rain. She was broken.
