Camp: Fear
The sky was light when the campers came out. They were young, the oldest 12, and the youngest 9. A counsellor came out with them. They stood together, waking up to the world in the freezing mountain air. They then spread out and roamed the woods. They were looking for twigs and branches for the fire that morning. That was their job that morning but while at first they had been proud to have such a responsibility bestowed on them, they were now tired of it and would rather use their phones and eat junk.
Sneaking into the woods was fairly easy. While it was the kind of forest Snow White would have envied, they had gotten used to the surroundings of camp Silver Lake.
It had rained the night before and one of the campers wondered if he could slide on the slippery pines. He managed to slide a few feet before his foot got caught. Then he went flying into the undergrowth. The counseller and some campers yelled out to him before deeming he was fine, he jsut sat there holding his knees, immobile.
Just to make sure, everyone went running down to see if he was ok. Then they saw the horror he had seen.
Leaned against an old, dead tree was a body wearing jeans and a CAMP SILVERLAKE tee. A squirrel thought the campers were harmless. So it scurried down... and hopped onto the back of the body. A scream rose from the group. Firstly it was thin but it grew and grew. And then it stopped.

SEVEN YEARS LATER
I was so sure. Even now i was sure someone would feel something. I still remember what happens. Does anyone else? They smile and laugh.
They're happy. They don't think there's anything to be afraid of.
It won't last.
The fire was ready to die but no one wanted the night to end. Spencer Hastings stifled a yawn and glanced at the other campers. No one else looked sleepy but they had camped before. Maybe they were used to it.
She yawned again and squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them she saw a marshmallow about 6 centimetres from her nose. It was on a stick and the stick was held by a hand. The hand belonged to a guy called Toby Cavanaugh. "Sugar" he explained with a caring smile. "it'll keep you awake." She smiled her thanks and accepted it. "Not good" she faux complained. "I think I'll need the whole bag!" "Not good" Toby warned, sounding serious but his teal eyes sparkled laughingly. "If you dont have energy you won't be able to handle the monsters!" Across from them Sean Ackard laughed.
Sean was tall with a round face and white blonde hair.
He was friendly but serious. "Toby's right Spence!" he said "You lose control you're in for it!" "Sean should know!" Ezra Fitz said, his chocolate brown eyes sparkling.
