Welcoming the chilled morning breeze as she made her way around the school. Shimmering black hair cascading pas her movement causing flowing ripples wading through.

Striding straight past a group of teens hovered around a bench. Clutching the strap of her pink bag protectively. Her name was Elizabeth "Sissi" Delmas and on any other day she would have shamelessly waltzed up to the group openly flirting with a certain brown haired boy she had a long term crush on.

Today was not that day though, today the sun brought with it an heir of sadness that would linger with the girl wherever she went. Trudging along the pathway, venturing off to find a tranquil place to sit. Satisfied with the land she discovered, plopping herself down at the base of a tree.

Slipping the strap of her cotton candy furred bag from her body. Generously giving up its contents. Laying each carefully on the ground. A time worn envelope, a family photo shielded with a brown casing. Her lunch was the last thing to be retrieved from the bag.

Planning on not returning to school until just before curfew she asked Rosa to make her a lunch to go. All she wanted to do was wallow in her own solitary misery. Tears began to trickle from her eyes, she could not hold back the sobs threatening to erupt during her journey. She did not try to stop them, nor did she care to. Alone in the woods, no one to witness her moment of weakness. No one to unveil the mirage she had created for herself.

Yes, a mirage. An illusion to throw people off. She had no desire to let people in on her true feelings and she certainly never spoke of her mother. Sissi could almost hate her for the pain she's caused over the last seven years of her life, but could never bring herself to do such a thing.

Retrieving the worn out envelope from the ground. Careful not to tear it or the paper inside she slipped the two apart. Unfolding the letter an re-reading the sting of the words across the page. She had done so multiple times in her life. What she did not understand was why. Maybe to remind herself of the tragic events that held her childhood,or perhaps a subconscious attempt to examine the letter hoping for some sort of clue that would unravel itself.

There in the stillness of the forest, her water soaked eyes began to process each word written.

Elizabeth Darling,

One day when you're older I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. I just cannot stay no longer! There's more to this world than just being a simple, common housewife. I crave the big city, I crave the adventure! You're dear father only holds me back, not wanting to come with, to keep this family together! His only concern is to babysit that day care they call a school! Elizabeth darling, you will always be in my heart. I'll be back for you one day, my darling.

Your dearest mother,

Elenora Delmas Montagne

I actually wrote that probably last year sometime and I just threw the final bit of it tonight haha

I hope yous enjoyed, thought it was a neat idea I wanted to try out at least.
