This is a fanfic in a time after the "Golden Cat".

Seagulls flew overhead, squaking, riding unseen currents by the cliffs. Waves crashed on the rocks below, and the salty breeze gently moved the fur of the silver cat watching it all. A single darker stripe went down his spine. He closed his eyes, enjoying the peace, the quiet, the . . .
"Hiya, Jack!" The silver cat sighed. A tabby joined him on the edge of the cliff. The silver cat looked at the newcomer, and licked the top of her filthy head. "Hi Cy," he purred. Cy purred, sounding like a lawnmower. It was Tag and his friend, Cy. The two met long ago, on the wet street of some city. Tag remembered it as if it were yesterday . . .
(flash back)
A kitten was playing out there among the traffic.
She was tabby and longhaired, and she had found a desicated brown leaf. As the traffic roared past, displaced air propelled the leaf gaily up into the air. Exhilarated as much by the life in herself as by the dance of the leaf, she dashed and darted. The leaf fluttered shyly. Too late! She reared up on her short, comically trousered back legs and sprang at it with velvet paws. Whack! Whack! What now? She would catch it gracefully, like this, above her own head. But it evaded her suddenly and fluttered off. The cars flashed past her. She had no fear in that place. Tag was astonished. She had no fear at all. . . . .
(end flash back )
Since then, Cy and Tag traveled together, the odd kitten-looking proxy, and the apprentice of the Majicou. They had met others along the way, the king and queen of cats, Pertelot and Ragnar, the rogue and her partner, Sealink and Mousebreath, the fox, Loves a dustbin, and the previous guardian of the Wild Roads, Majicou (whom the alchemist had named Hobbe).
They sat together in silence, Tag and Cy, till the tabby couldn't take it anymore. "Hey Silver," she meowed, purring afterwards. Tag looked at her.
"What is it, Cy?"
"Did you guess?"
"Ummm," Tag thought for a moment. A while back, Cy said she wanted to tell him something, but when he asked, Cy said he would have to guess. Tag shook his head. "No, I couldn't think of anything . . ."
"Come on, Ace!" She boxed his ears. "The king and queen knew when theirs were coming,"
Tag's eyes widened as he began to relize. "Do you mean . . . that . . ." He was at a loss for words. Cy rubbed her muzzle agaisnt his.
"That's right, Jack. Ours are finally coming . . ." They sat, watching the sea, the sun turning the sky orange as it sunk beneath the horizen. . .

Pertelot, a mau, sat grooming her mate and king, Ragnar. Their kits, Leonora(sometimes called Leo for short), Odin, and Isis, ran past them, weaving a golden tapestry, only stopping for small amounts of time. They stopped in front of their parents, the gold light fading temporarly. "I can sense something mommy," Leo meowed.
"What is it?" Odin asked Pertelot.
Pertelot smiled and looked in the direction of where Cy and Tag were. "Well, Cy will tell you when it's time, won't she, Ragnar?" Ragnar nodded.
"Ok!" Isis replied, and the trio began weaving again. Ragnar gave Pertelot a mischivious side glance. "You didn't tell them the other thing."
Pertelot purred, and cuffed Ragnar's ear. "Like I said, they'll know when it's time."

In a dark place, far from Tintagel, a mysterious creature opened it's bright yellow, narrowed eyes. It's gaint mouth opened, revealing sharp teeth. "They are coming. . ." It evilly snickered.
