"Let me buy you the next shot of tequila." The suggestion leaves thirty two year old Mark Sloan's lips before he could stop himself. He took the empty seat at the next to the young woman.
A small smile fills the womans face, letting out a soft giggle. "With all the pick up lines that ran through your head, that was the best you could come up with?" She questions, turning towards him. She opens her mouth to speak again, not letting the man get a word in. "I will only take that shot, if you do with me. I am in a very crappy mood, and I could use some cheering up."
He beams. "Bartender," He calls for the man a few chairs down from them. "Two shots of Barrique de Ponciano Porfidio, please."
The woman beside him, covers her mouth laughing. "Do you know that's over a 100 dollar shot of tequila, right?"
"You seem worth it." He tells her honestly, and the smile that was on her face, the laugh that left her lips told him it was worth it. When the bartender puts down the two glasses filled with the tequila, he hands her one and lifts it in the air. "To new friends." She clings her glass against his, before taking the shot. He watches her, putting her hand in the air, signaling for another drink, adding an extra but this time the cheap stuff. "So, what are you doing in Las Vegas casino bar by yourself?"
He catches the small frown the makes its way to her face before quickly moving to a smile. "Because, people suck. Tomorrow is my birthday, and all my friends left me to go to some concert in south California."
"How are you are turning?" She looks to him shocked. "I'm sorry. I forgot, women don't get asked that question."
"Honestly." She giggles, reaching out to grab his empty glass and push it forward. "What are you doing tonight?"
"You." He answers, no hesitation in his voice. He looks to her, a small smile on his face.
"Maybe if you are lucky…" She simply tells him.

There was no headache the next morning when she opened her eyes the next morning. She rolls over, almost hitting the nightstand before quickly moving herself to sit up straight. Though, she was exhausted. She felt like she didn't sleep a wink.
She looked around the room, this is not her hotel room. Though, it had a better view of the town itself. "Where you going?" A sleepy voice enters her mind, bringing her out of her thoughts.
She quickly look to the other side of the bed, a small amount of blush coming to her cheeks to see the man from last night naked, in what she guessed was his hotel room. "Hungry." She mumbles.
"I can order food." He says, opening his eyes to take a peek at her. She was staring at her hands. "How do you feel? Any regret yet?"
Her fingers run her hands over the diamond on her ring finger. "No, no."
He leans over, pressing his lips to her lips. "Happy birthday, Mrs. Sloan. I meant what I said last night, I know it's quick…"
"I love you, too." She interrupts him. "But I will love you a little less if you don't get me some food right now."
