Percy's POV.

Hey guys, I'm 16 year old Percy Jackson. I go to Goode High School in New York City. All the girls here love me. Obviously, I mean I'm pretty good looking don't you think? I'm joking, but a lot of people do think I'm quite attractive. Not to sound conceited or anything.

Anyway, today wasn't any usual day. I mean, it was, sort of, except i met someone new. I was walking down the hallway to my locker and someone bumped into me. She looked up from the map she was holding in her hands and I couldn't help but stare. I mean, this girl was beautiful. I'm not just using the word 'beautiful' because i don't want to sound like a jerk. She was, for real. She was wearing an orange muscle tank tucked into white skinny jeans and black vans. Gorgeous golden blond curls going almost to her hips framed her face. I glanced in to her intense, stormy grey eyes for just a second and there I knew it. She was going to be mine someday.

"Sorry," i apologized.

"Oh," she laughed, "no, that was my fault."

"Do you need some help finding your way around?"

"Um, no, don't worry about it, I'll be okay. Thanks though."

I nodded and smiled then walked past her, feeling disappointed that she didn't want my help. It was strange. She wasn't all over me like all the other girls were. Maybe that's what made her so special.

Annabeth's POV.

Okay, so, that was embarrassing. Bumping in to someone pretty much two seconds after walking in to a new school was not a good way to start off. Looking up from my stupid map that i sadly needed, I saw i had bumped into a really attractive guy. An even better way to start off, obviously. He had tousled dark hair and sea green eyes. Oh my, his eyes were beautiful. He apologized, which i don't know why because it was totally my fault for looking down at the map. He also offered to help me find my way around, but i couldn't let him. That would be an even bigger embarrassment to admit that i had been lost. The school wasn't huge; It wasn't small either, but I mean, It's okay for new kids to get lost right?

After a lot of getting confused, which doesn't happen to me very often, I finally found my way to greek class and I walked in just as the bell went.

"Class," the teacher said, "we have a new student. Her name is Annabeth."

No one looked up except for the boy i bumped into earlier.

"Um," the teacher began, "Could we say hi please?"

several students muttered a quick "hello." but I got the feeling nobody really cared.

"You can call me ," the teacher whispered to me

"Thanks," i said and smiled.

Ironically, the only seat left was next to the boy. Great.

"Hey," he greeted me.

"Hey," i replied.

"So, your name's Annabeth?"

"Yeah."

"Pretty name," he smiled.

"Thanks," i smiled back, "What's yours?"

"Percy."

That, i found was quite an unusual name.

"Like Perseus from greek mythology?" i asked.

"Exactly like that, he smirked."

This kid was sort of strange, don't get me wrong, he was cute, but strange.

I sat there for the rest of the class not conversing with anybody while taught us some greek vocabulary.
