AN:/Hi guys! I'm Anna and this is my first story. For a bit of a longer summary, this au takes place in a world where Peter Pettigrew is a loyal friend who doesn't betray the Potters. In attempting to do the right thing he accidentally dooms the lives of the Grangers. Sirius takes her in. Basically the daddy/daughter fic I always wanted but no one else was writing lol. I'm not incredibly dependent on reviews but I would appreciate them! Looking for a beta and someone to help with a general plot, because I have ideas but nothing really solid yet. This is also isn't necessarily a Harmione fic yet, because I have a couple of ways I see this fic ending. Thanks and enjoy! All characters from Harry Potter belong to JK Rowling

Chapter 1:

Six year old Harry Potter knew a lot of things.

He knew that his parents, who defeated Moldy-wart, loved him enormously. His mother was the prettiest lady in the world with sparkling green eyes and shiny red hair. His father was a cool and active auror who spent most of his time chasing bad guys, and usually catching them. He knew that his uncles (Moony, Pads, and Wormy) loved him almost as much as his parents. Being as loved as he was, and wanting for nothing, Harry knew that he was lucky to have the life he had.

His childlike mind wasn't satisfied though, because one day his Uncle Pads came in with a little girl tucked into his side. Harry put down his toy dragon action figure to stare at the stranger. Her eyes were wide and colored like honey and full of curiousity. Her hair was fluffy, like a puffskein. He wondered if it was as soft as it looked.

Lily Potter, after finishing a quick scan of her own, raised an inquisitive eyebrow at the man, but a softer smile at the younger human infront of her. After sending a small wave towards the girl, which was returned shyly, she looked back towards Sirius awaiting an explanation.

Her husband was not as subtle.

"WHAT'S THIS THEN SIRIUS?!" Lily smacked him on the back of the head. Remus winced. Peter face-palmed. James' voice had boomed in the small cottage and despite the friendly smile accompanying his words, the girl jumped a bit in the air, hands shaking as she grabbed onto her new guardian and buried her head in his thigh. Sirius was quick to calm his new charge after throwing a scathing look at the older man. He took her by the shoulders gently, and softly asked her to look at him.

"Everything's fine Mione, he didn't mean to yell- he's just always loud like that. He won't hurt you, you know I would never let anyone hurt you." His reassuring words continued until she removed her face from his shoulder and sent him a tentative smile. "Ok," her voice was small and sweet, the same way she looked. James was quick to apologize once he made eye contact with the girl. Lily sent her another one of her dazzling smiles.

Harry stared.

And stared.

And stared some more.

Six year old Harry Potter knew a lot of things, and one of those things was that he would love this girl.

Sirius continued his introductions, bringing the little witch in front of him so she could see Remus behind the kitchen counter and Peter at the table. She gave a shy wave, a little smile that exposed her front teeth. "This is Hermione. She's mine."
