Author's Note: Ok, so this was actually done for my Lang class... we do journal prompts and what not and then have to type one up and read it in front of the class. I had no clue what I wanted to do for any of my prompts, so in some way I basically made them fanfiction. So yeah, this is what I read in front of the class (Only two people actually knew it was fanfiction). This is the prompt: "Look through a science, history or math textbook and use a line or the title of a chapter in a piece of writing about a relationship." I took it from my chemistry book (by Zumdahl) or something like that. So yeah, this is supposed to be romance, but I never strongly hinted at it being so, if you just want it to be Jori friendship or whatever, that's fine, but I'm just a Jori shipper so I see the romance and the spark between them. You will need to understand a little bit of chem stuff... and I may have screwed up with the chem stuff as well because even though i'm in AP Chemistry I'm doing horrible xD And Yeah, it's short, it was only supposed to be a page or so of writing. This note is probably half the size of the paper xD Whoops. Hope ya'll like it :)

Disclaimer: The chemistry text is not mine, nor are the characters from Victorious.

"The different affinities of atoms for the electrons in a bond are described by a property called electronegativity: the ability of an atom in a molecule to attract shared electrons to itself." The difference in electronegativity of two atoms determines the bond type.

That's what we have, you know. A bond. I'm negative, she's positive. I like the dark, she likes the light. I'm a gank, she's Miss Sally Sunshine. I like scissors, she likes dolls. I'm rebellious, she's a goodie-two-shoes. I like black, she likes color. I scream and shout, she speaks gently. I cause problems, she gives answers. I'm flat, she's bubbly. We aren't alike at all.

I guess that's just it though. Our electronegativity difference is so large, that's why we attract. We're so different but we can't be away from one another. There's a pull between us that's always been there and has never weakened. We're inseparable.

We used to fight it. I'd be mean to her and she'd try to be nice to me. I wouldn't play nice even when she would, so she would get annoyed and retaliate. She'd always win because everyone was on her side. No one would ever want me to win a fight with her. Everyone wanted her to win. Pit us against each other in a stadium and no one would bet on me. The seats for my fans would be empty. Hers would be full. Even if the seats were overcrowded, no one would dare sit on my side, they'd rather stand. That's how different we are. Dark vs. Light. Devil vs. Angel. Bad vs. Good. Then again, that's also what brought us together.

To this day we still banter, still fight, but that's okay. It's who we are, it's what we do, it's how we interact. Others don't seem to understand. All they see is the difference between us, not our bond. We always have been connected, and always will be. From the moment I dumped cold coffee on her head, to the moment where we would hang out, just us, even if under the guise of hating each other, we were bound.

I'm the gank, she's Miss Sally Sunshine.

We're opposites, but we attract.

"Electronegativity: The ability of an atom in a molecule to attract shared electrons to itself."

I have a low electronegativity, she has a high electronegativity. We aren't so similar that we're covalent. We aren't somewhat the same to be polar covalent. Our difference is too great, so no matter how much we clash, we'll always be together, because we're ionic.

A/N: If you couldn't tell, it was from Jade's pov. I'm sorry for how short it is... that's the length it was supposed to be for class. I just thought you guys would like it. Let me know what you think :)
