Authors Noes: For subversa who requested "Apparition" and Severus/Hermione on that prompt table I made ages ago. I finally wrote it! Thanks to missile_envy for the quick beta work, and on a holiday no less!

Hermione could not explicitly tell anyone what brought her back time and time again, but whenever she was feeling a bit wistful or melancholy she would find herself back in Hogsmeade. The first few times she would just stand by the fence around the Shrieking Shack, looking in. She thought it was just memories that led her there, memories of the days when Harry threw snowballs at Draco and all they had to fear was bullying Slytherins. Memories of Remus. Thoughts of Teddy. But there was a draw to the Shack, a strong one that kept pulling her back whenever her emotions were raw.

Finally one day she found herself in that room. She had already visited the room where they had first encountered Snuffles. That had been enough for a while, and she had gone back several times to sort out her feelings. She couldn't even decide who she was mourning - there were so many that had been in that room that day.

But no, the room that finally she realized was her destination was the room where he had died. The room where she had watched him die. The room where his memories saved them and gave Harry the knowledge and understanding to beat Voldemort.

Once she encountered the room again, she felt full, complete, and contented while she was inside. Actually, it was probably the only room in the whole of the world she could say that about in such an honest way.

So she was surprised, or maybe she really wasn't, that it was on her tenth or twelfth visit to that room - she had stopped keeping track - when she caught a glimmer in the side of her eye. A glimmer that was a lot like the memories Snape had given Harry in this very room. A glimmer that always stayed just out of eyesight. But a glimmer that gave her comfort and unmitigated love.

Or maybe that's what she gave to the glimmer in the side of her eye...
