The alien girl knelt by the pond deep within the park away from passerby surrounded by trees and splashed the refreshing water on her face after exhausting herself playing with her giant dog God, Sadaharu.
She played as hard and as much as she could to try to forget the thoughts of 'him'.
She looked at her shaking reflection before bringing her fingers gently through it.
Vermillion hair, azure eyes, and pale skin, this is the beauty that hides the monster inside her and covers the demon that 'he' is.
Do you think of me when you look at your reflection?
Did you know the things that you are doing affect me?
"Do you even love me?"
She held her breath as she dunked her head into the water.
When we were young and I followed you every where you went with our faces expressing our happiness, did you love me then?
When you picked me up high and hugged me tight teaching me the feeling of warmth though the cold rain poured down on us every day, did you love me then?
When you said you loved that ugly planet because I was there to make it prettier, did you love me then?
The pain of holding her breath too long coursed through her body and she pulled her head up; her bun clips long forgotten, sunk to the bottom.
With her hands spread out wide she fell back while yelling: "You lied when you said you would love and protect me forever!" Her petite body hit the grass that was softer than the knowledge that 'he' will forever look down upon her.
"Are you having fun up there, Mr. Space Pirate, while your sister is here on Earth?!"She yelled up with her hands out reached toward the sky. "Are you having fun killing the innocent and the strong, Mr. Strongest in the universe, while your sister is making a life for herself?"
She got on her knees, gripped her hair and continued to yell. "Are you having fun letting the blood take over and the monster come out, Mr. Psychopath, while your sister is using all of her strength to hold it in?" The tears started to trickle down her cheeks onto the grass where each one was lost and forgotten.
"Are you having fun being alone despite all the people around you, is it really fun to use everyone as a stepping stone toward your empty future, Mr. Big Brother, while your little sister has made a family that is accompanying her into a future filled with the unknown?!"
Why does the little sister have to be the one to give it her all and bring her big brother on the right track? Why does she have to teach him the meaning of true strength? She's just a girl, you know.
Unbeknownst to her, Kamui leaned back on a tree underneath the shade that kept his fragile skin from the sun's wrath. He saw everything from his resting place; he heard every word that escaped her lips. The condescending smirk that not one has seen him without since he began traversing the universe was missing from his usually bright face.
"Kagura… there is no use for all those human emotions, they are what make you weak." He whispered to himself.
"I will keep the promise that you broke and will forever love you." She dropped her hands to her sides.
Did you think of me, my beloved big brother, when you left me on that cold planet?
He was leaving her again and she didn't even know.
