Prologue
Two years after the almost-destruction of the world by Adrian Veidt, Daniel Dreiberg and Laurie Juspeczyk finally decide to settle down and start their lives together and gladly welcome the arrival of their first child, a daughter they name Daniella.
Daniella grows up with her parents in New York, and she must learn quickly the evils of the world. Even as a child she has a distinct knowledge of right and wrong and dreams of one day becoming someone who will make a difference in the world and bring some order to the chaos.
Meanwhile, the only other remaining Watchmen (on earth that is), Adrian Veidt, grows tired of always being alone and decides to adopt a child of his own. He finds the perfect son in a young two year old boy named Alexander.
Adrian teaches Alexander the ways of the world, right from wrong, good from bad and everything in between. Alex delights in spending time with his new father and becomes somewhat of a prodigy when it comes to technology.
However, Adrian soon becomes bored with the child and begins to leave Alex to fend for himself. Alex soon develops an extreme distaste for his father and begins to take on a bad-boy persona as he grows older.
Sixteen years later Daniella is a junior in high school and has certainly gained her mother's beauty and charm, but in return has also taken on her father's intelligence; because of this she often intimidates boys leaving her with a non-existent love life. She had long dark brown hair like her mother's, minus the bangs, and had also inherited her mother's long, slender figure although she had to work to keep the weight off no thanks to Dan. Also she unfortunately had to cover up her stunning bright brown eyes with glasses because of her bad eyesight not unlike her father; she owned contacts but rarely wore them because of the way they "made her face look" or because they "are very uncomfortable".
Alex, on the other hand, can't keep the girls off him, he wonders why girls go for a bad boy like him...especially when their all air-headed girls. It was obvious that the only thing Alex shared with his father was a name, his brown hair constantly looked as though someone should run a brush through it, his dark green, almost emerald colored, eyes always seemed to radiate that "I don't care" look. His figure was somewhat lanky and it is clear that he is not nearly as well-built as his father, and he certainly did not inherit his father's fashion sense. He is now eighteen years old and should be a senior but because he neglected his studies, and found a way to scare off every homeschooling/private teacher that his father hired, he was held back a year and is now a junior instead.
They say you can't escape your past, and try as they might to escape it, Dan, Laurie, and Adrian's fates would once again be entwined, this time at the hands of their children.
End Prologue
Oh my god I have not updated in like an eternity! So I've been obsessed with Watchmen for quite a while now, and I've even had this story idea for a while too. I thought this was too stupid to post but with support from my loving boyfriend, I decided to finally start writing and post it.
I really hope you all like it, and the next chapter will be up soon, promise!
