A half-blood of the eldest gods
shall reach sixteen against all odds
And see the world in endless sleep,
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap
A single choice shall end his days.
Olympus to preserve or raze.
Look at the Great Prophecy. I mean really look at it. You can see a big hole, right? "A single choice shall end his days," That's got to mean this hero is a guy right? So why did Thalia cause such a problem? Some say it's something about proper grammar, and they used his because that's how the whole male/female thing works. But then wouldn't it go the same way with gods? Why were Hera, Hestia and Demeter (well, just Demeter, I guess) able to have kids still? Wouldn't those demigods also serve a problem?
And also, who said the next "half-blood of the eldest gods" to "reach sixteen against all odds" would be the hero of the prophecy? Even if the Big Three had continued to have kids, the Prophecy would still probably have been about Percy.
Author's Note:
Just something to think about… that's never sat well with me. And no, this is not me saying anything against Rick Riordan; in my mind, he should be made one of the Olympians. Nor am I saying I could do better. Please tell me about holes in my holes, and Zeus, I would seriously take into consideration my idea to make Rick Riordan a god!
