Guardian Demon
By ShadowFox-nightmare
ProlongeKagome POV
I moaned as I opened my eyes from my sleep, something fluffy anchored me down to a sitting position; now noticing what I am holding is a blanket black as night and warm as fire.
I couldn't help but rub my face in the soft black blanket, which earned a deep growl almost mistaken as a purr from…my Blanket!
I squeaked as I now sat up away from my 'blanket' and tried to stand up, but found that something was weighing me down from doing so. Looking to my lap I saw the head of an abnormal sized dog which could only mean he was a dog demon!
'What the hell!' was my only thought as I let out a scream, which awakened my 'blanket' from its sleep and I could tell that I had angered him, when he peered at me with his deep blood red silted eyes.
'Quiet!' The voice sounded in my mind as I clamped my moth shut from the demanding gruff call.
I slowly looked down to the demon's head to see that it had its eyes closed once again, but for some reason I could not explain, I felt no fear towards the gigantic dog demon..
The massive dog lifted its head from my lap to his large right paw to allow me freedom. I gingerly stood and backed away from the large black dog demon. As my blue eyes gazed upon this beastial creature I now saw its full figure, it had pure black fur from my awakened state from before and five massive tails slightly twitching behind his large form. I was shocked that such a massive and possible enemy of a creature had me practically hostage yet not hurt me.
For just a few seconds I stared, questions running through my head, 'who was he? Is he a friend? Or a foe? Why was he here? Another thought struck me, where was Inuyasha and the others!'
I looked frantically around the forest for any sign for my companions, only calming myself when I saw everyone lying on the ground , face up and in a row beside each other. The only thing I could see wrong with them now from the battle before was that their clothes were tattered and torn, and all their wounds were healed.
I turned back to the gigantic dog demon I only seconds ago left.
The dog was stretching from its long nap , his back in an arch, and its mouth opened wide showing me his large, sharp and pearly teeth. He stood now on al four of his large paws, shaking his head lightly to wake him from sleep. My heart almost stopped as he slowly trotted over to me as I stood 5'3" and him at least 13 feet tall from only his shoulders, not at all counting his 2 feet tall head. A thought struck me again, this could be only a smaller size of his truer form!
Fear completely engulfed my mind and nerves, which told me to run, as he now stood next to me he ore than towered over my small form.
I did the only thing that my wack job of a brain could do…
I fainted
