maressaonce asked: Neal Henry and Emma having their first Mothers Day together and Neal helps Henry to spoil his mom all day long…
"This day was made for you," Neal had said, surprising Emma with breakfast in bed. The bacon was curiously crispy, the pancakes almost as good as Granny's if not better. Her two boys taking over the kitchen was appreciated.
The new earrings that laid on her dresser had made it especially easy to get ready. The likely scenario was that Neal had saved up, but it turned out to have been months of Henry's allowance from Regina. If Gina knew she had technically bought Emma's Mother's Day present…
The morning was a walk in the park- literally. Henry and Neal took turns challenging Emma to a duel with Henry's wooden swords, most battles resulting in Neal pinning her down in the middle of the grass, teasing her with almost kisses. Not that she didn't enjoy it…
The blindfold over her eyes had lead to a picnic at the beach, and luckily the weather cooperated. The lack of mayo on her ham and cheese sandwich had resulted in a "we hate mayo" lecture from Henry and Neal, and although her boys were picky eaters, she had always admired their matching quirks.
Arriving home, Emma was sure their day had come to an early end, assuming that Henry had to spend some time with Regina. When he had claimed that he had planned the day for just her, Emma insisted on him going, and now he couldn't object. Regina deserved a Mother's Day with her child just as much as she did, if not more.
Upon entering the door, she was greet by her father that held a bouquet of roses. The tag read "for my baby girl."
After much visiting with Snow and Charming, it was time for Emma and Neal to celebrate a night of their own. A new item laid on her dresser this time: lingerie. "For the sweetest lady," the note read. She had giggled, noting to tease Neal on his poetic abilities.
With her parents on a night out, and Henry with Regina, things were finally heating up for Emma and Neal. Now she finally had the chance to thank Neal for everything he had done, and she knew he would savor every moment.
