Hey i decided to write a happy one! (at least i think it's happy) i went over this one a bunch of times to make sure it was at least a bit better. I have to thank Kikutamaster for giving me the idea to use Rent from her "Would you light my candle" this is kind of a continuation. I have to thank jadeandsugar, heaven and earth, EndlessBlack, AvatarKiba1001, RavenOfAzerath for their reviews and critisism! so thank-you! i hope this is better.
"Come on Katara. Go talk to him," Toph urged gently. She could feel Zuko's heart speed up every time that he looked at Sugarqueen and it was driving her crazy. It was essential for Katara to go talk with him if she was going to keep her sanity.
"I don't know, Toph. We had such a big fight." Katara sighed worriedly. "What if he's still angry with me?"
Toph also knew that Katara wouldn't do anything without prodding. "Just go and talk, I'm sure that he wants to talk to you too." Toph said encouragingly while trying to keep the impatience out of her tone.
"Okay I will." Katara said, suddenly determined.
With that she walked purposefully over to Zuko. He turned to look at her with his liquid gold eyes and she froze up "I should tell you…" she started.
"No, I should tell you…" Zuko began hurriedly, while looking back down at his hands. He took a deep breath and continued, "I should tell you I'm disaster."
"Let's just make this part go faster. I should tell you…" Katara stopped short again.
"I should tell you…" Zuko looked up at her slowly to meet her beautiful salt water gaze.
"I should tell you, I blew the candle out, just to get back in." Katara said smiling gently as her knees buckled tightly and butterflies erupted in her stomach as he looked at her.
"I'd forgotten how to smile until your candle burned my skin." He said as he lost himself inside her eyes once again, never wanting to come out.
"I should tell you…"
"I should tell you…"
"I should tell you…"
"Well here we go." Zuko murmured, "Trusting desire, starting to learn."
Katara stepped forward, placing a hand on his arm, "Walking through fire without a burn."
Zuko turned his hand over to hold gently on to her arm and pulled her closer, "Clinging, a shoulder, a leap begins."
Katara stepped in gracefully and took his other hand in her own, "Stinging and older, asleep on pins."
"Here goes…" Zuko leaned in slowly, forgetting everyone else in the room.
"Here goes…" Katara whispered quietly as she felt his breath against her lips.
Katara reached her right hand up slowly and placed it over the scarred left side of his face as she closed the space between them.
