So. The hundred-word drabble. I love and hate them. They're a challenge to get just right, but they are also a means of cheating when the original episode doesn't provide much. That said, this one wasn't supposed to be a drabble. It had all kinds of great aspirations, but Bo's incredulous question kept interrupting what I was trying to write. So I had to give in. From Bad Day in Hazzard.
"What're you doing?"
Only Bo. Puts a hitch in Luke's get along, that voice cracking through the words. His brain trips over the only-Bo thoughts that crowd it. Only Bo would think he'd start something in the Boar's Nest with their uncle, cousin, best friends and worst enemies just a thin door away. Only Bo would think pulling his belt off is where he'd start. Only Bo would think he'd start anything at all right now.
Finally, he answers: "Well, we ain't got knives to pry the nails up with. I figure a belt buckle'll be the next best thing."
