The cool night's air gently blew; making his unruly hair softly move. He stood along the beach, the ocean water waves would carefully splash onto his feet. The moons pale light reflected onto the water, bouncing off each wave that would slowly crept on the beach sand.

He inwardly sighed to himself, 'Man pull your self together.' he thought. This was the ever last night the trio would actually have together, and he couldn't sleep.

Tomorrow they would finally find the Sunflower Samurai and their journey together would end. Months ago that idea would have excited him to death, but now he didn't quite know what he could do without Fish-face and that little whining bit….

"Mugen!"

He was pulled out of his thoughts by a frantic voice. He knew who it was, that voice only belonged to one person. No one else in the world could have a voice like that, and he was some what happy about that.

"I'm still here."

Sighing in relief, Fuu still stood behind him, waiting for hi to turn towards her. But he never did, he only watched the horizon. The soft light from the moon gave Fuu no a lot, but just enough light to let her see Mugen's back.

After a while they both could feel how the silence between them was awkward. It was never this quiet when they were near each other; it was usually yelling, name calling, and insults. But not this time. It was quiet, they could hear the wave's splash onto the shore, and the crickets chirp.

Fuu looked down at the sand that was now going between her toes; taking a deep breath, she took a step towards Mugen, taking him by surprised, and she wrapped her arms around his torso. Even though her face was snuggles into the arch of Mugen's back she embraced him tightly, not wanting to ever let go.

"Fuu?" Mugen said in confusion, they had never had a moment like this before, but it felt right…to right for her to be so close to him. It scared him.

Tears had begun to swell along the rims of her eyes. "Mugen." Her voice started to crack, but she tried to fight it, "I don't want our journey to end so soon. I just finally began to like the idea of having you around all the time." A sob escaped her tiny lips as she heard Mugen chuckle to himself.

"Yeah and I just gotten use to having you around, too." Turning around to where he and Fuu were now facing each other, and when Fuu looked him in the eyes she began to cry uncontrollably.

Bring her into another embrace, Mugen held her until she had finished cry and calm down. To the both of them it seemed to last for hours, but truly was only for a few mere minutes.

Pulling away Fuu, wiped away the last few tears from her cheeks, along with the tears stains, "Thanks Mugen." she whispered.

But Mugen had turned back towards the ocean, not replying back to her. But Fuu knew he wasn't very good with his words, so she took it as 'you're welcome'. Turning on her heels she walked back towards the little shack the trio was staying in that night.

Carefully glancing over his shoulder at the young woman; who had finally entered the little shack, he sighed, and turned his gaze back to the ocean.

Tomorrow they would finally find the Sunflower Samurai and their journey together would end. Months ago that idea would have excited him to death, but now he didn't quite know what he could do without Fish-face and his Fuu.
