Gilbert gently pushed the hair out of his face. Dumped. Crushed. His world was falling down around him. The only woman he had ever loved was now married to his brother. The man bit his lip as his quiet friend tried to comfort him. He glanced at Matthew, an apologetic smile on his face. "I don't think you can help this time Mattie. There was always hope before and now...Now it's over for real." he said, smile fading. The most awesome person in the world was crumbling.
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Matthew frowned at his friend. He was hurting so bad, the kind hearted Canadian wished he could help in some way. Elizaveta had never been good for him. Between generally being a bitch when they were together and cheating on him with Gilbert's brother, he was supprised the other still loved her. "You're like an abused wife Gilbert." he said softly, shaking his head. The Prussian frowned. "Whats that supposed to mean?" he asked, almost angry. Matthew stood up and shook his head before kissing Gilbert's forehead gently. "When you figure out how better off you will be without her, come see me. Good bye until then Gilbert." he said softly before leaving.
love is not a victory march
Matthew sat in his living room, stroking Kumajirou's fur gently. It had been a month sense he had spoken to Gilbert. Sure he saw him around but neither made a move to speak to the other. He sighed and began to sing gently. The Canadian sang softly at first before his voice gained strength, ringing off the wall's of his almost bare living room. He sang the entire song before stopping, never stopping his stroking of the bears fur.
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Gilbert knocked almost timidly on the door before he heard the singing. He pressed his head to the door, biting his lip. When the song ended Gilbert opened the door and walked inside, still biting his lip. Matthew smiled at him softly. "Finally realize i was right?" he asked softly. Gilbert looked away and then back at Matthew. "Yeah." he said gently before crossing over to the Canadian. "You were so right." he mumbled before kissing the other gently. It was a short sweet kiss. They pulled away blushing like mad. But Gilbert was grinning. "Been wanting to do that sense you left that day. Can you believe it took the awesome me this long this long?" he asked causing Matthew to laugh. "Yes i can. But i'm glad you finally go the courage." he said gently before kissing Gilbert again.
Hallelujah
